> We really didn't know exactly what we wanted our new home to look like.  We knew it needed an update and fresh look....but what and where to start?  Lauren and Jane showed us many inspiration photos and concept ideas. We settled on a look and they took off! We are so happy with the results! Our new kitchen and family room is our favorite. We cant wait to start the master bath.
> There are many things I like about this design team. They are no pressure. They listen.  Staying in budget is important to them.  They showed us many choices in different price ranges.  Their contractors, painters, plumbers etc are great and everyone works together well. I also like the way Lauren and Jane work together discussing different ideas and troubleshooting their projects.

> It is with great pleasure that I highly recommend Erzen Malone Interiors.
> Step 1 of course is figuring out what you want the space to be: How it will be used and what it will look like. Jane and Lauren really have a gift of being able to tap into their clients’ wants and needs and then translating that into a physical space. It’s one thing to be good at designing something for yourself, but another thing entirely to be good at really getting to know another person and figuring out what would be best for that person. Jane and Lauren are able to this brilliantly. They gently guided me through a process of discovering what I really wanted—aesthetically and functionally. They did this through asking intentional questions to draw out what my values and desires were, showing me a variety of sample pictures, providing informative explanations about some design elements and concepts, creating vision boards and engaging me to get my feedback. I never felt they were pushing their own agenda on me or putting me into some kind of cookie-cutter / one-size-fits-all design template they use with all their clients. Instead, it was clear in every interaction that they were actively invested in getting to know me and my family’s unique needs and wants.
> Step 2: Once they had expertly helped to uncover what I actually wanted, then we went about the process of making that happen. Jane and Lauren are worth their weight in gold for how they adeptly and creatively came up with ideas for making selections that would help create the look I wanted without breaking the bank. I fell in love with an oversized armchair from Ralph Lauren Home that was way out of my budget. I was in the thought-process of “Where can we cut, so that I can get this amazing chair?” But Jane and Lauren expertly offered another solution. They recommended we invest in buying the name brand fabric, but not buy the actual chair itself. We would use the name-brand fabric to cover a custom-built chair that would be a copy the name-brand chair. I would have never come up with this idea. “Custom-building” a chair sounds to me like it would be way more expensive than buying a chair from a store. But Jane and Lauren knew better and knew this would be a way to fulfill the dream of having the “splurge piece” but not at the splurge price. In the end, the price of the finished chair was less than half of what it would have been had I bought it in the store outright. And this is just one example of many of how helpful their expertise and recommendations were in managing the endless decisions of when it’s worth it to spend more and where you can creatively save.
> Ultimately, Jane and Lauren not only have the vision and talent to create beautifully personalized spaces, but they are also genuinely kind, good people. Their integrity and trustworthiness as people and business owners helped me feel comfortable since I was really relying on their expertise, recommendations and management of the project.
