As a Certified Master Kitchen Bath Designer (CMKBD) I don't JUST design kitchens & baths, I guide you through the design/selection process, I become your trusted advisor.
My commitment to you, is to prevent you from making mistakes. I educate you every step of the way by providing my resources, sharing my expertise and deciphering your vision so that you can spend the time enjoying your newly remodeled space - not spending the time to manage the project.

My personal goal...is to make your remodeling project
stress less and that begins with a clear and concise PROCESS.

DESIGN PROCESS
Step One: Home Visit
Complimentary 1 hour visit at your home.
I want to listen to your needs/wants/desires that are motivating you to remodel. This will help to define the services that best serves you because I understand that every Client's requirements are unique.

Step Two: Scope of Work
I generate a complimentary Scope of Work that defines your objectives. This Scope becomes the foundation for your project so we don't miss any of the details.

Step Three: Design Concepts
I will create a variety of design layouts to help you see all the possibilities while also adhering to your objectives and design vision. We will explore these concepts together and with the approval of the final design, I will then generate detailed plans to include elevations and color perspectives as needed.

Step Four: Selecting the finishes
We spend a day together shopping...not buying...but selecting all the interior design elements that align with your style and planned investment. During this day you will learn about new products and trends while also getting educated on the pros and cons of product finishes.

Step Five: Finalize Job Cost
I will coordinate with a contractor for your project and schedule visits to your home to conduct final site measures needed for generating final job costs. The end result affords you the flexibility to expand or reduce your scope of work before you commit to a contract.

Step Six: Order Process
Let the fun begin! We order materials, plan a schedule and start the project.

**★★★★★ — Luci Stone, Feb. 2025**

> Jan Neiges is the consummate professional. During the first meeting, Jan explained her role in our kitchen renovation and was extremely clear about the project scoop, billing, product management, timeline, payment schedule, and services; how refreshing!
>
> Jan listened to our ideas, and, with her extensive knowledge base, made innovated suggestions concerning ideas and details that we never even considered. We wanted a kitchen that was functional, tranquil and uncluttered. The AutoCAD drawing which she created was spot on.
>
> Jan accompanied us to several businesses (appliance, cabinetry, backsplash, sinks, knobs, etc.). She patiently and continuously answered our questions concerning information about materials, durability and design features.
>
> Jan had us meet the owner of Green Line Construction, LLC, Mr. Henderson, who has 25 years’ experience. They both worked together seamlessly. Mr. Henderson took full charge of hiring the specialty sub-contractors, and was on site throughout the project. He not only scheduled every worker, but also was responsible for taking care of the payroll. All workers were polite, efficient, and professional. Everyone cooperated with no conflicts whatsoever.
> Our new kitchen meets all of our criterial. The adjective used by family and friends to describe it is “elegant”.
> Renovations can be daunting, but this has been a very pleasurable experience.
> Thank you, Jan Neiges!

> We just completed a kitchen remodel with Jan, and could not be happier with the results. On Jan's initial visit, she not only evaluated how we use the kitchen, but also how we use the other rooms in our house. We always wanted a mud room upon entering from the garage entry door, but never thought our house could have room for one. Jan suggested just moving our dining room furniture from our existing dining room, to a large front room which we were not using much, just to see how we liked that as our dining room. We couldn't believe how much better traffic flowed with that change. After living with that change for a bit, we were ready to commit to converting our old dining room into a new mudroom/pantry area. We never would have thought of that if it were not for Jan. The rest of the kitchen layout was equally as creative. Jan suggested moving our garage entry door over the width of a fridge, and that allowed us to move our fridge, greatly improve the traffic flow in our kitchen. We also had an awkward window seat area that was never comfy due to being slightly too high and narrow. Jan suggested turning the area into some cubbies for storage and laying counter top material over the cubbies to make room for plants in front of the large picture window. The "plant shelf" is one of my favorite parts of the kitchen. The whole layout that Jan presented to us was better than we could have imagined. Aside from providing us a great kitchen layout, she coordinated communication with the general contractor, provided detailed plans for ordering cabinetry, and did walk throughs with our general contractor making sure all the small details were covered. During the actual construction process, Jan also helped us decide what to do with construction challenges. For example, upon trying to remove one of the soffits we were planning to get rid of, a bunch of wires was discovered. We assumed we would have to put the soffit back the way it was, but Jan suggested making a soffit out of walnut to match some floating shelves we had in the kitchen. That decision ended up adding such an interesting design feature to the kitchen, and I love it. Jan was always super responsive to emails/texts and we always felt we could send a text to get her advice. Overall, we had a wonder experience with Jan and would highly recommend her.

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> Oh my, you covered it all! I was wonderful to work with the two of you, and refreshing that you both were open to thinking outside the box - a designers dream! And accepting some interesting design elements. Sending you much love and happiness in your new kitchen.

**★★★★★ — Liz, March 2024**

> We had a great experience working with Jan. Our house is older (1920s) and the kitchen was closed off, a little dark and didn't function well for us. We didn't have a prescriptive design in mind ahead of time, just more modern & open without losing the character of the house, which gave Jan the freedom to push the design boundaries a little.
>
> We were impressed with the multiple design options she delivered - not ones we would have come up with, and she had also listened to what we liked, what we didn't like and took note of our (slightly different) design aesthetics and blended it all really well. She also listened to our feedback and made changes to get the final design just right for us.
>
> I would highly recommend doing the 'Design Day' with Jan too. We learned a ton and felt investing that extra time was well worth it in terms of getting to the end design we did (e.g. I would never have thought to go with dark, flat panel cabinets). She also gave great advice on the space we needed (and didn't need) for cabinets, on function (what's useful, what's gimmicky) and made design suggestions on everything from floors, to hardware, to tile, to open shelving. She also helped elevate our mid-project idea for a living room fireplace reface so that it looks like it was part of the design from the start.
>
> Jan is a no nonsense professional, which we both appreciated. She also has great vendor contacts - all were high quality and took their time with us. She also recommended the general contractor, who we were also very happy with. Overall, we are really glad we worked with Jan on our kitchen remodel - she really helped bring it to the next level. We love how it came out and definitely recommend her.

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> Thank you kindly. Thomas Martinez with Chisel Construction was the GC. I loved how we added modern elements to a historic Denver Bungalow. You both were wonderful Clients to work with as well. Thank you for also attaching pictures.

**★★★★★ — Jeff Farrington, March 2024**

> Jan helped us with a multifaceted remodel that touched most rooms in the house. Her meetings helped us to crystallize our vision of the desired outcome, she brought in a top-notch general contractor, and she connected us with great suppliers around Denver. We are tremendously excited with the outcome.

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> What a transformation.. Thank you for your kind words and your faith in our team. I will be posting the before and after pictures. The clue for this project is the library, with built in teal blue shelving.

**★★★★★ — Teri Tidwell, March 2024**

> Jan was our designer on a nearly- whole house remodel. She expertly guided us through the whole design process and truly became our trusted advisor. We totally trust her judgment and her referral of other professionals who worked on our project. Jan is very creative, professional and reliable. We are thrilled with the results and love our “new home!” We highly recommend Jan for any design project!

**★★★★★ — cindymcnamara, Feb. 2024**

> Our new kitchen makes me smile every time I walk into it and that is all because of Jan!!! Jan listened to our initial ideas of what we were looking for and expanded on those ideas to give us more than we had ever envisioned. We have a beautiful walk in pantry that Jan added to the design, something we hadn’t envisioned but is truly one of the highlights of our new kitchen.
> Jan offers a “Day with the Designer” which was the most productive day for us. Jan introduced us to sources for cabinets, appliances, plumbing, counter tops and tile. Jan educated us on the options available in each of the categories and made the whole selection process enjoyable instead of overwhelming.
> We appreciated Jan’s attention to details and her guidance in keeping our remodel on track and moving forward. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Jan and highly recommend her!

> Jan is truly amazing!! This is the second time we used Jan's design services and this time it was for a complete remodel of a 1980's mountain condo that was never touched. After listening to what we wanted Jan's creativity took over. She took our ideas and took them to another level. Through the entire process Jan always listened to us, was beyond patient, guided us through the process and took the reins especially when we were having issues with our contractor. On multiple occasions without blinking an eye she offered to make the long drive up to our condo to ensure everything was installed correctly and when there was a surprise pipe position issue behind one of the kitchen walls she made to the design change on the spot. Any email or call was answered immediately and any issue was handled without hesitation. If you have any remodel or renovations in your future contact Jan! You will absolutely enjoy the process and the results! Thank you Jan for everything!! We absolutely love our condo now.

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> Simone and Mike, Thank you for your kind words. It has been a delight to work with you both AND to also add you to my ski buddy list!!!!!

**★★★★★ — Donna, Aug. 2023**

> Jan was able to put my haphazard thoughts into a plan which incorporated everything I wanted in a new kitchen. I highly recommend her to anyone who is doing a remodel job, particularly a kitchen.

**★★★★★ — Kris Edwards, March 2023**

> Jan was quick to respond, very honest about what options I had and while my project wasn't the best fit for her, she referred me to several people that I could talk to about the project I wanted to have done at my house. In this day & age it's rare to find someone who is willing to offer to help & provide honest advice. I will be passing her name to friends.

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> Kris, Thank you kindly. I am glad to help. Remodeling is such a stressful and daunting acivity...if I can help someone reduce the stress and give them information to stear them in the right direction..that is what I am here to do.

**★★★★★ — Graham Miller, Feb. 2023**

> We enjoyed working with Jan. She was organized and helpful every step of the way. The project went on and on because of delays on our part and then COVID challenges. She was patient and ready to move ahead with steps when we were. We appreciated the general contractor that she helped us find so very much, and he had excellent subcontractors that he brought. All of the work and attention to detail were excellent. She had appliance and plumbing sales people that she's worked with many times, and they too were knowledgeable and helpful all along. If we were restarting the project today, we'd definitely hire Jan again! She's responsive to concerns and questions, and we're very grateful to her that our kitchen/powder room/laundry project turned out better than we even imagined.

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> Graham, thank you kindly. You were both very patience in waiting for the double ovens. I can't wait to see what the kitchen looks like with that beautiful wall paper.

**★★★★★ — Jessie Buchholz, Jan. 2023**

> We really appreciated Jan's guidance with our kitchen and main floor remodel. She was able to keep us moving through the design process when analysis paralysis was threatening to set in. She also connected us with an amazing contractor that was able to complete our project on time and under budget. Thanks Jan!

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> Jessie
> Thank you for your kind words and sharing with me pictures of your new kitchen. Moving the sink to an exterior wall and adding a window above along with creating a wine/coffee bar by the pantry closet really opens this space up.

**★★★★★ — Marlene Aquadro, Dec. 2022**

> We are so glad we chose Jan to help us navigate the design process in reimagining a new kitchen layout. She was attentive and reassuring, helpful with suggestions and listened to what we were looking for in a kitchen. This was our first time to hire a designer and Jan put us at ease and made the process a very good experience!

**Comment from Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBA:**

> Thank you for your kind words, pleased to know that I gained another satisfied Client. Thank you.

Can you tell me how a corner niche has to be framed and how the niche is made. Can it be made as a corner or do I need to piece two together.
