From lot selection, to design, to construction, to interior decorating, and finally through post construction follow up,  they worked closely with us to develop a very special home.  The house has several unique features, starting with a design that provides three "living" zones that can accommodate young families  or families in transition (college kids or extended family members) that might require more privacy.   Custom features include reclaimed wood floors, barrel entry way ceiling, barn doors separating the dining area, an amazing custom kitchen with hand made subway tile, a large master suite that includes an oversized shower, ceilings with custom wood features, fantastic light features, several art nooks, and plantation shutters.

**Q: Brick foundation** *(in Photo Questions)*

This color scheme is beautiful! We live in the Knoxville area and visited one of your projects in the Parade of Homes tour several years ago. We love this color scheme and I would like to know the brick and mortar combo used for the foundation. I love how it works with the stone! Thank you!

A: It is weather wood brick by pine hall... I think with grey mortar.

**Q: Maintenance, heat and/or moisture issues foor the wood backsplash?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love this but I know my wife's questions will be; Is it safe to have wood that close to the stove? Will the wood tolerate the steam from the stove? How much sealing/prep before installing and how much maintenace afterwards?

A: The tiles are treated with a sealer already and do pass building codes. They come in 12x12 sheets and a easy install.

Where can I get those ogee tiles??? I've been obsessed with this photo for 2 years. I can't find the tiles anywhere! Please help!

A: They are clay tiles I hand made myself :)

**Q: Porch floor** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just moved into a new home. Right before we moved in, brick pavers were laid on our front and back porches. As seen in the picture, the work was very sloppy. The bricks were not wiped down and dried mortar  is everywhere. What is the best way to clean up the brick? Our builder says that power washing will do the trick.

A: Also, as far as the pavers goes, it would have been pressured washed already, but you told us to hold off a while longer. Regardless, I assure you it will be taken care of.
