Our kitchen designer forgot to order our cabinets in Jan. 2021 when we paid her our deposit so she could order before prices jumped during Covid. Six months later when she remembered to place our order she had to fine a company, unbeknownst to us, that would fit within the contract price that we signed and apparently most companies had increased prices a lot. She ordered from Yorktown Cabinetry and the cabinets are low quality, which we didn't know until after installation. Some of the cabinets are pealing, we have a warranty and the company will not stand behind the warranty. They would not take care of the pealing paint, but expected us to pay for touchup kit! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! We paid for custom cabinetry and ended up with cheaply made, low quality, mid range cabinets. Such a disappointment! **★ — HU-587347656, Aug. 2025** > DON’T BUY YORKTOWNE CABINETS. They are overpriced and poorly crafted. My kitchen cabinets were installed in 2021 and after two years the doors began to separate at the joints. Their customer service department stated that it is due to excessive humidity and / or dryness. That’s a cop out. After I challenged their assertion, they said that it was normal wear and they would not pay to fix them. Obviously they were not glued properly and they are poorly crafted. Their products are top-notch, and their customer service is exceptional. I always feel well taken care of. Plus, their design trends are consistently spot-on. Cabinets took months to come in and when they came in, one cabinet was damaged, several came in the wrong color, and a few were the wrong size. The cabinets were reordered and again, they sent the wrong cabinets a second time. > Weeks have gone by after a second reorder with no end in site. The expected arrival date has come and gone. Never, ever order from this company. Worst experience. If I could give Yorktown zero stars I would. **★ — HU-448101354, Nov. 2022** > I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of this product. I spent $20,000 on cabinets for my kitchen and waited 3 months. I was fine with spending the money and waiting for what I thought was going to be a quality product but after recieving my cabinets I am met with stripped out screws which results in sagging doors as well as missing knots or knots that look like they were infested with worms. I also have cabinets with wood that is split and seperating. I realize "wood is wood" and it is a natural product but where is the quality control? Its too late for me but I hope this review finds someone else before they make the same mistake I did. **★ — zayat construction, June 2021** > In my 20 years in business, my experience with Yorktowne was literally the worst we’ve ever had. I was testing out a new cabinetry wholesaler, so I referred 2 of my clients to them and they hooked them up with Yorktowne. Cabinets took 3 months to arrive even though we were promised 6-8 weeks. Some of the items came damaged so we had to order replacements (which took another ~8-10 weeks to arrive). We were given delivery dates that came and passed, no end in sight. Each project took about 5 months to complete because of delays on Yorktownes end. Terrible terrible experience. **★ — kfragoza, Dec. 2020** > Yorktowne was described to us as a high quality midrange cabinet company. Overall, the cabinets are good, but the customer service is atrocious and they lack attention to small details. There are many, high quality alternatives for similar cost and if we were to do it over, we would have went elsewhere. In fact, I would seriously recommend that you consider a different company and save yourself frustration. > Pros: cabinets are solid and the paint quality was excellent. However, that should be expected for the price. > Cons: customer service/communication is abysmal to atrocious. We did not receive a hood component. Six months and innumerable conversations later, we finally have a delivery date. They frequently invoke COVID as an excuse for incompetence. If you ever forget that there is a pandemic, call them. If you get someone on the phone, they are sure to remind you. > Small details that you would expect for the price were totally overlooked. They sent too few shelf holders/supports. Cheap, plastic holders but still. > The drill holes for a shelf were off by 1/2 inch, which would have been perfect if we were planning to build our house on a tilt, but alas we chose to make it level. That is still pending repair, but it is COVID so we will see. > Do yourself a favor, don’t purchase. **★ — HU-770827586, Nov. 2020** > Bathroom remodel - we choose Yorktowne cabinets a major mistake we have come to regret. 1st set of cabinets delivered and installed June 2020. The cabinet finish on the doors and drawers was at best poor quality. 2nd set of Yorktowne cabinets (replacing 1st set) was delivered and the cabinet finish was worse than the 1st set. 3rd set of Yorktowne cabinets (replacing 2nd set) was delivered and yet again the finish was poor quality. Also the 3rd set was listed as "code blue" within the Yorktowne system i.e. cabinets were suppose to be followed through the manufacturing process and approved for shipment by Yorktowne management. It is now November 8th & we are 6 months into the bathroom remodel with no end in sight. Also the Yorktowne management team has and continues to be invisible. I will not include names in this post however none of the management team we have worked with have ever proactively reached out to discuss the ongoing issues. ALL COMMUNICATIONS HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY MYSELF OR THE INSTALLER. I would advise anyone considering the purchase of Yorktowne cabinets to choose a different cabinet vendor or be prepared for a 6+ month project with no end in sight. **★ — K & B Renovations, Inc., July 2020** > Never go with Yorktown cabinets. As a contractor, we went through Studio 41 and were told this was a good company. After multiple stain problems and cabinet problems we are still faced with poor incorrect stain matches to mention a few problems.
