I have completed and sold just under a dozen custom remodels ranging from 500k-1MM. Knowing the demand changes in the real estate market I hired Chris to design a new template. Every investor is building an identical product and I wanted something bold and different that would appeal to the masses; while keeping costs down. He exceeded my expectations! The home is raved about by every buyer who walks through and is featured in a local newspaper. I would highly recommend him for anyone who wants a beautiful space that is truly distinct. **★ — rupie6, March 2014** > Chris was very vague about what he would do, but assured me that he would handle everything and his payment would be generated from the purchase of our items. We were too trusting and signed a contract for his work. He charges $150 and hour for himself and $60 for his assistant, so be prepared to pay $220 per hour for the two of them to measure your house, go to a flooring store even though flooring may be the last item on your list of things you need. He will shop for an hour in a store to let you know that you need dark wood flooring for your home. I paid over $500 and I have a set of scribbled notes, a picture of the flooring I don't need now and I do not have the drapes or plans for the sitting area I requested he work on. My advice is to not pay hourly to anyone ever. **Comment from Chris Jovanelly Interior Design:** > While the way I operate is common practice for interior designers, I'm always saddened when I'm unable to please a client, irrelevant of the circumstances. Unfortunately this project did not come to fruition due to a misunderstanding of the stipulations of my contract and retainer. Do you know who makes the shower doors? It's a beautiful bathroom that looks much bigger than its dimensions. Thank you. A: It depends on how far your toilet projects from the wall. It's a close call in this bathroom... so if you have an elongated toilet with a larger tank, he may be right. If you haven't purchased your toilet yet, I would recommend visiting a local plumbing showroom like Ferguson and speaking with them about selecting a space-saving toilet.
