What should have been a nightmare was a really fun process with Peter and his team of professionals. The resulting drawings are of an antique farmhouse with a modern fusion that i can build in my budget. Within a few hours after contacting Archia the next day, they sent a crew to temporarily patch the roof and remove the dislodged interior beam that was hanging from the coffered ceiling (thereby preventing further damage). Over the next few weeks, Archia handled all of the permanent exterior and interior repairs. All this was done on a very timely, high quality and cost-effective basis, despite the general shortages of building materials and tradespersons. We were looking for a builder who could support full scale construction, along with all of the nuances that come with an antique home and Pete Stames, Heidi Petrowicz and their team did just that. They tore down additions that had been tacked on over the years and excavated a new foundation, while also reinforcing the original antique foundation, and addressed a variety of other issues. This layer of the project was something we were very nervous about, but Archia tackled it head on. > > Along with this, they reworked a larger mudroom into a new master en suite bathroom, a laundry room, and a powder room. This took a lot of creative design on Pete’s part to make happen. The new addition houses our Kitchen, walk in pantry, a bar area, and a living room that opens up to a balcony deck. In most of these spaces we incorporated some really nice millwork on the walls and cathedral ceilings that turned out phenomenal. They set us up with their custom cabinetry partner to allow us to maximize the space in our smaller home. > > Archia achieved absolutely beautiful design.
