We interviewed a number of designers and Jennifer was the one that "got us" from the start. Although we didn't know exactly what we wanted, she listened to us, asked lots of great questions and was able to distill all of our likes and dislikes into a perfect plan. She was collaborative in her approach and even though our space is small, she came up with a lot of creative ideas to make the most of every inch. This was our first renovation and big deal for us, and we felt that she was there to guide us every step of the way. She was always friendly, professional and responsive. We are absolutely delighted with the end result and would recommend her to anyone looking for a talented designer that brings innovation and heart to her projects. **★★★★★ — Stephanie MacDonald, March 2017** > Jennifer is a very talented creative designer. She wrote quite a few very insightful design stories for me when I was editor of Home Decor and Renovations magazine. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and very good at expressing her clients' unique personalities through their decor. Her interiors always look amazing, and reflect the needs and the inspirations of the homeowners. She's also very personable and reliable to work with. **★★★★ — ferociousmamma, Oct. 2015** > When my husband and I were looking to change up our living room and dinning room we did a lot of research on local designers and we came across Blue Garnet Design via Houzz. We loved the work shown and decided to meet with Jennifer. After our initial meeting we knew that she understood our needs and was flexible in working with our budgetary constraints. Our living room and dinning room were stale and Jennifer breathed new life into our space and opened our eyes to the possibilities. We highly recommend Blue Garnet Design for your interior design needs. **★★★★★ — Ingrain Custom Millwork, June 2015** > We have enjoyed working with Jennifer and her team at Blue Garnet Design/The Design Mill. They have been very organized with great Design vision, and we look forward to working with them on projects in the future. I would highly recommend Jennifer and her team for a truly professional experience. **★★★★★ — Omega Custom Furniture, June 2015** > Omega Custom Furniture has a working relationship with Blue Garnet Design for over 10 years. > Jennifer from Blue Garnet Design is a very driven designer who strives to be the finest in the industry. > Jennifer is very compassionate about her clients and her projects. Jennifer has expectations of excellence and Omega Custom Furniture works well as her team to contribute to her accomplishments. > I highly recommend Blue Garnet Design for all your design needs. **★★★★★ — michellewoods, Oct. 2014** > Jennifer has done some work for us at 2 different houses. She provided paint colours (interior and exterior) and a fireplace design and bathroom layout at one house. Most recently she provided paint colours, tile design ideas and tips on various design ideas around the house. The first time we worked with Jennifer she gave us a project rate as it was a bigger job. This year we only needed a few hours of help which was reasonable and valuable without the commitment of an expensive design process. For small projects such as paint colour or design of one room Jennifer can help to alleviate the stress of making decisions and offer savings by getting it right the first time. **★★★★★ — stamc, April 2013** > Jen Rudolph of Blue Garnet Design recently did a reno on my 103 year old home. She was able to turn a dark, dated house into a thing of beauty. My home is now bright, airy and comfortable. Her choice of colours and textures was just what the house needed and what I, as client, needed. And Jen is a delight to work with. I love my new home. Thank you Jen. **★★★★★ — glenhansen, April 2013** > Jennifer was hired by us to provide an interior design plan for our home renovation. > > After extensive interviews with us to determine what we liked and what was important to us Jennifer prepared a plan that fit in with our life style and tastes. We are active people enjoying the mountains in the winter and the beaches and parks in the summer. Jennifer incorporated this life style preference into the design plan utilizing sanding tones and granite in one bathroom while the other incorporated the earth tones and slate of the mountains. Recreational space in our new bedroom with lots of light was also very important to us and Jennifer accomplished that by providing more window space additional lighting and floor space to practice yoga while enjoying the valley view. > > Her attention to detail and ensuring that the design reflected our wishes and preferences was very impressive. She offered solutions and design ideas that satisfied our tastes and offered simple functionality. > > Jennifer has a unique ability to listen to your needs and preferences and translate these into practical design solutions. She provided color and shape schemes that are complimentary and that flowed seamlessly. She has an excellent eye for design and for adding and suggesting accents to dress up the renovation in a cost effective manner as well. > > If your interior design project is really important to you and you would like it to be extra special consider Jennifer Rudolph at Blue Garnet Design. **★★★★★ — Paisley Terra Photography, Jan. 2013** > Jennifer has an astute sense of style and innovation. I knew what I wanted, but didn't know how to get there. I was renovating a high end 1000 sq.ft. apartment in Yaletown, Vancouver. She took in all my ideas, filtered through them, and directed the project with inspired vision and clarity. She carefully assessed the elements that we were keeping and found ways to incorporate them seamlessly with the new elements. She also had many creative ideas that added so many designer touches to the project. With her help, I was able to achieve the traditional feeling that I wanted, with a fresh and contemporary flare. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. **★★★★★ — amanville, Nov. 2012** > I asked Jennifer for her expertise and guidance to provide a plan to update the exterior of our 35 year old home. Jennifer took the time to ask us pertinent questions about our likes and dislikes, took the existing homes in our neighbourhood into consideration, and toured the inside of our house to gain a good understanding of our preferences. What she came up with was far beyond our expectations! Jennifer put together a beautiful package that would completely change the look of our house, and helped us understand how we could stage the updates over two to three years to make it more affordable for us to achieve our design goal. Jennifer is a great listener and has a wonderful sense of style, and works with her clients to give them exactly what they want to see .... even when they aren't able to articulate their vision themselves. > I would enthusiastically recommend Jennifer! ## Selected projects - [High Point Estate](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/high-point-estate-pj-vj~5693467) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 7 - Description: A breathtaking estate in an equestrian community we guided this homeowners vision of creating a home with eclectic and bold tradition for her family.
