Barb and her team at Ford & Associates are the real deal. We worked together during an entire home renovation and I can honestly say that Barb and her team are nothing short of amazing. Barb helped with everything from paint colors to hardware choices to layout decisions to accessorising. She understood my taste and my likes and dislikes immediately and always has an immediate grasp on things that would or wouldn't work for me. From our first meeting, her experience and natural talent in the design world were obvious and I felt like she always went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. We had quite a few issues with construction that were out of Barb's control completely, and caused some stress and complications and I was in awe of the grace and patience at which she tackled every situation. She is very generous with her time and knowledge and is truly a kind person and an exceptional business owner. I am so grateful to have met her and will hire her again and again for every future design project I have. **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you sooooo much Kattie! I appreciate all the accolades and LOVED working with you! Its easy to work with a client with good taste!! I felt like we worked well as a team and definitely had to battle some construction issues together! It is worth it now that you are on the other side of the remodel and it looks absolutely stunning!!! xo **★★★★★ — Toni, Sept. 2023** > We hired Barb to remodel our entire downstairs. We had never worked with a designer before and we were nervous about not having our home look like our style. We loved working with Barb and our house is everything we wanted it to be. She listens, is responsive and professional. She answers your calls and never makes you feel like she is not available. > > I highly recommend Ford & Associates. They make everything run smoothly with less stress. **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you so much Toni!! I love the transformation of your home!! It was great working with you and Brian and I am so happy that you are enjoying your remodel!! **★★★★★ — Coastal Estates, Sept. 2023** > Barbara Ford is an incredible designer. I love the level of detail and design in her work. She creates interiors that are glamorous yet grounded, modern yet timeless, sophisticated yet livable. Her caring personality and level of professionalism is unmatched. I highly recommend Ford & Associates to my clients. **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you so much!! I really appreciate working with such wonderful clients!! I can't wait to see the outcome with your beautiful views!! Every detail has been considered and it is already looking amazing!!! **★★★★★ — Zeyna Alfi, Dec. 2021** > Barb is incredible! She guided me through my first full remodel and made the process tremendously easier for us. She’s fun, captured my style right away and budget. Meetings were efficient and exciting! Meeting with her and her team was the highlight of my week and I just wish everyone I dealt with in the process was as responsive, and professional as they were. Her team is so resourceful and I now feel so confident in my selections for our new home. Thank you Ford & Associates so much, you kept me sane and made this process so enjoyable. I will forever be grateful! **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Zenya!! Thank you sooo much! It has been a whirlwind project with all the delays that covid has brought! You guys have been so amazing and positive to work with through it all!! I can't wait to keep going and see the dream come true!! xo **★★★★★ — Patti Malmuth, Aug. 2021** > Barb is one of the best designers I have ever worked with! She understands what we like and doesn’t try to push designs on us that don’t fit our style. She is a total pro with strong connections to vendors and contractors. Added plus, she is fun to be around and a pleasure to work with. **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you so much! Its been great working with you guys and I cannot wait to continue on with your project and make your vision a reality!! **★★★★★ — eschabarum, July 2021** > Barb truly is amazing! We were wanting to update our outdoor cushion and seating area and I asked a very close friend of mine who she used to help her make her house look so fabulous both inside and out! My friend assured me I would be in good hands and she was right! Barb exceeded any and all expectations. She came up with a new layout with our existing furniture that now flows so much better. We are in love with the cushion fabrics she chose, fun decorative pillows, new outdoor rugs, poufs around the firepit area and a few new furniture pieces adding a whole new level of class and sophistication. Her eye for design is pure perfection. Barb is easy to work with, and through the process we never felt pushed into purchasing or doing anything outside of our comfort level. Excited to work with her on our next projects! **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Wow!! That was such a nice review, thank you so much!! We loved working on your beautiful yard to bring the inside vibe outside into your living areas! It was fun to do the 'vignettes' of the different spaces and loved working with you and your cool vibe! Looking forward to working together again anytime!!! **★★★★★ — Cathee Smith, March 2021** > My husband and I have been working with Barb and her company, Ford & Associates, for the past 6 months as we added on and remodeled the living areas of our home. Barb listened to what we were hoping to achieve and then brought it to fruition with her wonderful sense of design and her eye for color. She worked with us from start to finish, beginning with room design; then helped us select kitchen cabinets, quartzite and backsplash, and finally helping us choose window and wall treatments, furniture and rugs. Our remodel is nearly complete and our home is more even more beautiful than we anticipated. As we make minor changes throughout the rest of our home in the future we will continue to consult with Barb. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who is in need of expert design experience. **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you and Brad in transforming you home! I’m excited to see it finished and you guys living in it, enjoying all your hard work! It’s a tough time in the business with all the delays due to Covid, you guys have been so flexible and understanding. I’m so happy to have been able to help you and looking forward to wine to celebrate the finish line!:) **★★★★★ — Erin Reid, Nov. 2020** > I can give my very highest recommendation of Barb and her team. Barb truly listens and takes time to understand preferences, style, and logistical needs. Since I wanted to work around some art, and furniture I already had, I imagine her job was more challenging than when starting from a blank slate. She brought not only creativity, expertise and a good sense of practicality, but joyfulness and inspiration into her work with us. She worked closely with us to design custom nightstands as well as built-in cabinets, a window seat, and fireplace in our master suite which had several alcoves in desperate need of inspiration. I sincerely had SO MUCH FUN working with her to choose fabrics, wall coverings, colors & accents for the different projects! The people she engaged to complete the various tasks were all highly competent & a pleasure to work with. It has been such an incredible blessing to have a gorgeous new master suite, dining room, music room & updated living room, as well as a fresh feel with new paint and accents throughout our home. We have been very thankful to “shelter in comfort & beauty” thanks to Barb’s transformations during this pandemic season. If you are like I was and on the fence about whether it is worth the investment to work with an interior designer, I can confidently predict you will not only be incredibly grateful with the results after working with Barb, but you will enjoy the experience. **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > OMG!! That is such an incredible review!! Thank you so much, I really loved working with you to bring out the best of your ideas and make it your home that you had envisioned! > You were a joy to work with and always open to new ideas. With your work schedule, you needed a sanctuary to come home to and relax and revive! I'm so happy to be able to work with you and the outcome was sensationally Erin!:) **★★★★★ — Shannon Bingham, July 2019** > Barb is an amazing designer to work with. She worked with us in completely transforming our home from a kitchen remodel and updating our furniture and decorations and beautiful art work to helping us with our master bath remodel. She is so genuine and guides you in choosing what you like without making mistakes. Coordinating colors and styles is not easy but Barb made is such a fun process! She made something for me as the client that feels overwhelming, very easy. She really gets to know her client and how they live in their home to make it so beautiful but yet so comfortable to live in as well. We actually enjoy sitting and talking in our beautiful living room where before we would just walk by before..... we are truly grateful for all Barb's help and her responsiveness and customer services is exceptional. We highly recommend Barb!! **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you sooo much!! It was so fun to work with you and Mike to transform your home! You have excellent taste and know what you like and that is half the battle!! I appreciate your kind words and love how your home feels....warm and classy, like you!! xo **★★★★★ — Ellen Mitgang, May 2019** > Barb is highly professional and on point always. She listens and always wants to make sure decisions are the clients not only hers. She is wonderful to work with! **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you so much for the opportunity to help you with your transformation of your home. It looks amazing and you have been so much fun to work with in the process!! We need to have our glass of wine with Bridgette!! xo **★★★★★ — Joshua Lawson, Oct. 2018** > We bought a house in Del Mar and have worked with Barb for the past 6 months. She's been a great pleasure and consummate professional. We've never worked with a designer before and our primary residence is East coast so we've really relied on Barb to coordinate everything. She's been fantastic- she will go as fast or as slow as we want, provides multiple options for everything and is always mindful of our overall plan and budget. She has helped us get electrical and paint work done and she met the vendors and oversaw everything. We feel very comfortable working with her from afar and have no hesitations giving her our highest recommendation. **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you so much!! Communication has been the important key with the long distance remodel coordination. You guys are the best at answering me promptly and giving me feedback right away, which is key on keeping a project running smoothly. Thank you for your recommendation, it has been great to help you with your remodel! **★★★★★ — Lisa McQueen, Oct. 2018** > We hired Barb to help in the middle of a new home build. She has been amazing to work with. She has great design sense and helped us create a home that we love. I really appreciated that she listened to what my husband and I were trying to accomplish and was able to blend both traditional style to please me and contemporary style to please my husband.. I'm so glad we brought her on board the project when we did. She saved us from making some big mistakes with both finishes and furniture purchases. I look forward to the next project working with Barb! **Comment from Ford & Associates:** > Thank you so much Lisa! You guys were fun to work with and your home is beautiful! You have excellent taste, so it was easy to be your designer!! ## Selected projects - [Elegant La Costa Remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/elegant-la-costa-remodel-pj-vj~4636078) - Location: Carlsbad, CA - Photos: 4 - [Elliott Reserve Rolling Greens](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/elliott-reserve-rolling-greens-pj-vj~6690577) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 11 - [Carlsbad Guest Bath Remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/carlsbad-guest-bath-remodel-pj-vj~6715000) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - [Carmel Valley Renovation](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/carmel-valley-renovation-pj-vj~2852052) - Location: San Diego, CA - Photos: 4 - [Griffin Ranch](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/griffin-ranch-pj-vj~1863688) - Location: La Quinta, CA - Photos: 9 - [Doucette Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/doucette-residence-pj-vj~2336107) - Location: Lodi, CA - Photos: 3 - [Carlsbad Remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/carlsbad-remodel-pj-vj~2496736) - Location: Carlsbad, CA - Photos: 4 - [Celebration Model Homes](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/celebration-model-homes-pj-vj~1863796) - Location: Lodi, CA - Photos: 10 - [Kitchen and Bath Remodels](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kitchen-and-bath-remodels-pj-vj~2261429) - Location: Lodi, CA - Photos: 4 - [Meadows Del Mar](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/meadows-del-mar-pj-vj~2696467) - Location: San Diego, CA - Photos: 6 - Description: This beautiful home was purple when my clients brought me onto this project!
