> We contracted with Vin-yet architecture upon deciding to add a very large addition to our existing house, and needed to work with a talented and reputable architectural firm. After seeing their many beautiful houses firsthand in the Lowcountry, we contacted Justin Smith. Justin listened to our ideas and elevated them into a complete plan that honors the original feel of the house.  Justin and Bill are excellent communicators and collaborators. Frankly, I was impressed and remain impressed with their knowledge and experience in design and building fundamentals.  They facilitated the required engineering for us, and met with them onsite. Also, they are very timely with communications and feedback. I highly recommend Vin-yet to any homeowner who needs an excellent architectural firm for their next project!

> You will never find a better firm to work with.  Building your home from scratch and being 600 miles away, one needs someone who can listen, and who has the creative juices flowing.  An architectural firm that can glean what you are asking for when you do not know precisely how to put into words what you envision is key.  Vin-Yet mastered this trait.  Further, nothing and I mean nothing, was too much to ask.  They were responsive to our many emails; our primary means of communication, even at 10 and 11 o'clock at night. Last minute requests, even close to job completion, were handled with ease and somewhat economically I might add.  Service like this is rarely found.

What is the porch ceiling material is it low maintenance

A: it is stained tongue and groove bead board.  It will be relatively low maintenance if kept clean and if it has the roof above.... also depending on the climate.

Is the floor acid stained and if so, which brand and color stain was used?

A: This house was built for a client who is a concrete contractor...  He did these himself and we don't know the actual color or method he used.  Sorry

Could you tell me what is the manufacturer and color of the standing-seam metal roof? It goes great with the siding color. I'm wondering if it is aged copper? Thank you!

A: Sorry for the delayed response - no this is not Aged Copper.  It is "Burnished Slate" from Eagle Metals.
