> Whitt Design Group, while working on a number of projects, makes each project customer feel as if their project is the only project being worked on. Their product quality, subcontractors and attention to detail is of the highest quality. Further, our kitchen demolition did not start until the new cabinets were ready to install thus avoiding a long wait which is unfortunately all too common with some manufactures. They control the process from design to manufacture to install. using very high quality subcontractors. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. One principal is a designer (art degree) and the other handles manufacture in their own plant and install. If you are looking for a superior quality design, build and install for a kitchen or bath look no further. than Whitt Corporation in Williamsburg, Va

> One of our custom home clients selected Whitt to furnish and install their custom kitchen despite the fact  that Whitt was not listed as one of our approved suppliers.  Whitt's installers made a mistake during installation which Whitt insisted on collecting an additional $250 to remedy.

**Comment from Whitt Design Group:**

> The transaction referred to by Mr. Cleary was invoice \# 014435 and dated in December of 2003. The amount was $175.00 and not $250.00. Whitt Corporation provided and installed light rail molding on the bottom of the wall cabinets stained to match the cherry finish in the rest of the kitchen. After completing the project we received a phone call from Charles Ross Builders that we needed to come back and install the light rail molding. Knowing that it had already been installed we returned to the job and found that our molding had been removed from the cabinets and discarded in a pile of scrap materials on the garage floor. We sent new molding as needed to the site to replace some that had been handled roughly and broken and replaced it immediately. We also sent Charles Ross Builders an invoice for $175.00 to cover the labor cost for replacing the molding. I have no idea why the molding was removed but we would gladly have removed it if we had been asked. We would have done so in a way that would not have destroyed the molding and certainly would have protected it for re-use, not throw it in a refuse pile. After several phone conversations, Mr. Cleary to his credit, paid the invoice on 12/23/2003.

We are currently completing a kitchen renovation for which we were awarded in competition with Charles Ross Homes. This, of course, makes us competitors and I find it unethical for competitors to review  each other on a forum like Houzz - certainly not without disclosing  that they are competitors. Furthermore, it strikes me as being quite petty that a settled dispute should be aired from 13 years ago for $175.00 - especially in light of the current competitive status of the two firms.

How much is are these rods in the chrome and lucite combo?
