For those who have dealt with remodelers, you know how impressive that is. Warranty: After two years of the master bathroom remodel, I had a creak on the ceiling and floor. I filled out the warranty call on their website and within two weeks they scheduled a repair person to fix it under their three-year installation warranty without any problems. After considering buying a new house, me and my family decided to complete remodel of our old house because we couldn’t afford to buy new property due to very high market prices. We spoked with numerous remodeling companies but 4ever remodeling was the one that offered us help with construction loan for our project and they have dedicated rep at one of the banks that helped us to get the loan. In addition to that, 4ever has full designs team and architect that handles 3D rendering, selections and architecture plans. The first step was to get the design for our project and we paid out of pocket initial fee for interior design and architect work. As we knew what we wanted, the design process went fairly smooth and within 3 months we had all the plans ready for the estimate and construction permit process. After back and forth with the office team and estimator we got the price that was around $330K including materials and work. With the full sets of planes and the price we were able to close on construction loan fast and the constructions process began. They applied for the construction permit and this took additional time before we could start the project. But that was helpful because we had to buy all do the selected products. Once the project began the many different 4ever remodeling team members were coming to work on the demo, framing, plumbing, furnace, drywall, flooring, painting , etc. Project manager was in touch with us for any questions and provided weekly update. Overall the project took 6 months and went smoothly with our limited involvement in the whole construction as we had dedicated project manager for communication and also they used management software for reporting and coordinating the project. We did not stay in the house during the construction and we were able to see the work or progress thru that software. We knew that this was old house and we had some issues discovering items that had to be fixed that and is hard to predict before the demolition is completed, however the whole experience with 4ever was positive and we like the design, management, communication crew doing guilty work and final touches. We would used them again for the same project as well other projects. They are very organized and well run company. Once the 4Ever Remodeling design team (Anna and Magda) put together design plans for our place we started selecting and ordering finished materials. The permit process took approximately 4 weeks and once we received it, 4Ever Remodeling was able to start the work within 2,5 weeks. Project manager was involved in the process for the beginning, and he communicated with us promptly. We requested the same team that did the project on previous house, and they were able to accommodate the request. Once the project got started, we were visiting our house on daily bases. What we saw was attention to details and the way they secured and protected our house. Plastic sheets, floor paper, wall barriers, zippers were used to minimize dust speeding and floor protection. Demolition was done within a week, and they started electrical, plumbing and hvac. Project manager Mike was informing us every day what is happening and the progress. Building inspections were completed and they started drywalling and tile work. Tile guys Jack and Alex kept perfect lines and executed the design the way we envisioned. We were amazed the way carpenters Robert and Martin assembled all cabinets, fine cuts for crown moldings, door and trim installation. Painting was done by Vladimir and his helper which we don’t remember the name. The whole project took over 3 months and the results were delivered as expected. Hiring 4Ever Remodeling was not cheap but the way they operate and what that they offer was worth it: architect, design team, project manager, multiple people working on the project, high quality work, very good materials, and 3-year warranty. Keeping job side clean and safe was they top priority and the reason I’m saying that they didn’t allow us to enter working area without proper supervision and we respected that approach. We understood that safety of everyone working to the project is important. The final day of the project they scheduled final walk through to go over the project and signed close out paperwork. A week after the completion the 2 of dimmer switches weren’t working properly and they schedule electrician to replace them and now everything is working well and looks as we expected. Very good and solid remodeling company. **★ — Patrick Thielen, March 2023** > We worked with Damian on what would have been a $150-$300k basement remodel. They sent a detailed bid and in October 2022 we agreed in principal to proceed, including putting down $500 for an initial walk-through with his architect. We conveyed that we were ready to commit but preferred to start the process (and make initial large payment) in the first couple months of 2023. Damian made the standard disclaimer that various costs tend to increase, and did mention that they may increase their design fees starting on January 1st as well. I acknowledged that I understand inflation, etc. Then in mid January (3 months later) we contacted them to proceed, and Damian and his team decided that they now wanted $12,000 instead of $7,000 just for the design fee. He tried to say this is based on inflation. I asked why he didn't give us a heads up of such a significant price increase at the time, or in late December and he stated that he has 1,500 customers in my situation and can't possibly notify them all. Really? 1,500 customers that paid something in October to begin, and was ready to sign a contract, but wanted to wait 3 months to proceed? Damian is unreasonable and unprofessional in my judgment and while it's certainly possible that this firm may do good work, and may have other people who are reasonable and professional, I couldn't recommend working with someone like this when there are plenty of good, reasonable, and professional firms out there who can do just as well. **Comment from 4Ever Remodeling:** > In October 2022 during the phone call and email conversations we informed the customer that the prices for the design and projects services provided in 2022 are likely to be reevaluated in January 2023 and we will honor our all proposal prices if signed by December 31. Customer conclusion was that he will wait until the next year with the decision. After a few months of waiting this customer contacted our company in February 2023 to informed us the he is ready with the next step and start interior design process. On the same conversation we informed this customer that we are happy to help with his request however due to the many factors like inflation or shortage of construction labor our prices were reevaluated in first week January 2023. He did not want to listen our point of view and he aggressively demanded that we should keep the same price otherwise he will share publicly his comments as he did in this review. We politely informed the customer that we have email follow up record conversation dated for 10/19/22, 10/31/22 and 11/01/22 to inform him about moving forward with the design proposal and start the construction right after design is completed because the prices may go up in 2023. He confirmed this in our the same email conversation dated for 10/31/22 that if he delays the project the prices will need to be re-assessed and that they are likely to increase as most things tend to. We hope this customer can find interior design and construction team that can execute the service in the price range as expected. > > Prices for our services are guaranteed for 30 days from the day the contract prices are provide for all of customers. From the beginning of the process we had very good experience with 4Ever Remodeling. Interior designers Magda and Anna, project manager Mike, and team doing the work Adam, Lukas, Paul, Martin and the painter Wladimir did great job working with us on planning, preparing and building the basement project. They provided price and 3D visualization before any discussions were made about final. Selection process went smoothly as we picked mid-level products and the products were available with-in 2 weeks order. Project manger took care of all permits and legal paper work. Communication was on high level, either via text, email or in person visit. Basement was competed on time provided in the contract. The sales consultant gave us two options before we went to the next step. First option was to pay flat fee for the whole design and get the prices for all of the finished materials and labor after design is completed. The other option was to go over the scope of work review detailed scope of work and sign it. As we are not decisive what we wanted, we went with first options and start with the design as a first step. We paid the flat fee up front for design and right now we are 4 weeks into the design. We are positively surprise with how quickly and how responsive the whole team is. We already had two appointments at the showroom for reviewing the 3-D rendering plus additional plans as well as material selections. The next step is to finalize the design and receive final proposal with all the details for approval. If no surprises to the price after design compilation we will move forward and start the remodeling project. What we have received so far it looks like it’s gonna be very good experience. The reason we went with 4Ever Remodeling is that we could verified they have quality installers with long experience as this was one of our top priorities because we didn’t want to have any amateurs doing our project. 4Ever Remodeling was able to provide us with their policies that they only hire people with at least five years of experience and license plumbers and electricians. In addition to this requirement we want to have design team helping us to optimize the space and this company provides three years labor warranty for every project they build, which was a big factor to us. During the interview process with 4Ever Remodeling we found out that they have five different lines of cabinetry at their showroom that could meet pretty much every budget. After back-and-forth we pulled the trigger and signed the contract to start the project. Design team that worked with us was Magda lead designer type of coordinator and Anna our interior designer. We been assigned to the Project Manager who was in touch with us from the design completion and project walk-through into the final completion and signing so called “project completion closeout list”. The day they started the project it was obvious that they operated on the high-level and team that arrived on the job brought plastic covers, floor covering and zippers to protect the rest of the house from dust. The team of Adam and Wotek did quality work from start to finish. They cleaned working area on the daily basis before they left and kept the project secured. We received detail schedule and they finished the whole work three days before estimated completion date. The whole project cost was approximately $90,000 which is on the higher end what we had budgeted, however the money was well spent as the project looks very good and my wife enjoys cooking meals as well my kids like sitting by the peninsula and watching TV. We had a few challenges during the construction but this is looked normal on the house that is over 60 years old and you don’t know what to expect when you complete the demolition. Overall experience with 4Ever Remodeling was very positive and straightforward. Three months after the project we was completed one issue was discovered with the backsplash tile loose and we called the office to have someone take a look on it. From start to finish the whole project took approximately four months plus we were waiting two additional weeks for inspectors to come and approve every face of the process . During the construction we were informed about the progress, what was happening next and overall how the situation looks like. Everyone arrived on time, clean up after themselves on the daily basis and keep the project organized. After the project was completed our dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom and hallway looks very nice and now our family enjoys it. I asked him in no uncertain terms, and Damian assured me, in person at my house, that he would not increase his price if we agreed to use their design services. Fast forward two months when the design was completed (largely due to my wife's efforts, not the designer's) -- Damian sends a revised quote that was nearly 30% higher than the quote he had previously provided and assured me he would honor. When I provided him the specific numbers to show this discrepancy and reminded him of his assurance he would honor the price he quoted us when we agreed to pay for design services, he did not dispute that he had promised to honor the price but attempted to accuse us of having an unrealistic budget. Of course, this accusation is remarkable, because Damian had provided the original budget to us based on detailed information that we had provided to him! Even more puzzling is that in attempting to persuade us to pay the ridiculously inflated new price, he informed us that even though they had signed contracts with clients for 29 other projects in the past several months, he increased the prices on all of the contracts in April, and others didn't cancel. Were we supposed to be reassured by the fact that 4Ever didn't honor its pricing on its other contracts? That's when we started noticing problems. The last two rows of floor tiles were not lined up correctly. No apology. Damian said these things happen. > The same guys came back a week later to fix it and a few other small things. The hot and cold water knobs for the sink were off. One was a cross and the other was and x when off. The shower valve was not adjusted properly so there was no hot water. > They removed the vanity, since the row of floor tiles that were off ran under it, and said they fixed them. The tiles they fixed by the toilet are noticeable due to the fact they didn't replace the whole sheet of tiles just the colored tiles. It's a black and white flower hex tile. I let that go since its tucked away in between the toilet and vanity. > Everything's fixed right? Wrong. When my 8 month pregnant wife finally laid down in her new tub to relax she could see the tiles under the vanity were not fixed. Ok. I know it's under the vanity but why would they have removed it and not fixed it. This is when my wife takes over because she knows me. I'm not happy. A different worker comes over and finally fixes the tile the next week. > A week later we get an email letting us know we have a one year warranty. Good. We are gonna need it because we have another problem. > I had been noticing water on my laundry room floor but with baby almost here I didn't think much about it. A week after my son was born I just happened to be in my basement while my wife was in the shower. Water was pouring down the plumbing chase of the shower wall. I immediately sent a video in an email. My wife talked to Damian and he would send somebody out the next day. > The worker cut open the wall adjacent to the shower to diagnose the problem. After inspecting it for an hour or so he said my tub spout was defective. All their connections were good and I would need to buy another spout. He said he would be back in a few days to install an access panel in the hole he cut out. He also offered to install the tub spout that was defective while he was there. > I went out and bought a new one. The employee at the faucet Shoppe told me if I install the new one and it still leaks, it's most likely a bad solder job on the brass adapter. > Low and behold when I got home and installed the new part, it just screws on, it was still leaking. After taking it off I inspected the brass adapter. They never soldered it. The water was backflowing around the copper pipe and through the unsoldered brass adapter. He is coming back tomorrow. > This has been a very trying experience dealing with 4ever. I do believe they have done good quality work for other people. Just not for us. There has always been a hint of disrespect from Damian whenever we contact him about a problem. He's made us feel like we have done something wrong or are bothering him. Damien told me Robert would be working from 8-5 each day. That Wednesday, I arrived at about 11:30am. The bathroom was already half way through the demolition! By Saturday the new tub was in, the plumbing re-plumbed (this is a 1920 bungalow) new electric wiring done for the wall lighting, and Robert was installing the drywall! I was so impressed things were moving so fast. Damien met with me almost every other day to review the progress. When I arrived at the house to see how things were going, I would say hello to Robert and he always had a smile on his face to see me. He was very polite and kind, and would answer any questions I had and continued working, never skipping a beat! I believe he worked 9 straight days without a day off to complete my bathroom. Robert was one of the hardest workers I have ever met! During each step of the process, Robert would remove all the debris, and clean the area for the next step. My bathroom remodel went like clockwork. from beginning to end. No-non sense, no sitting around chatting with the owner either! No supervision needed. They did exactly what they promised. They are honest, professional and courteous. I absolutely had NO stress, other than what color tile and fixtures I had to pick out! Damien and Robert exceeded my expectations with everything! The quality of their work is outstanding! I couldn't have asked for better customer service either. The bathroom looks so great that now I am anxious to remodel my kitchen!
