**Q: Bathroom lighting** *(in Home Decorating)*

I posted this question a few days ago but I couldn't figure out how to edit to add a picture so I'm reposting. Thx for your answers. Building a new house.. In the Primary bath her sink is wider than his. 6 feet vs 5 ft. Mirrors 30"x40" have been purchased but I didn't consider lighting at the time. Mirror doesn't fill up the space above her sink very well so I'm considering sconces beside the mirror. His doesn't have space for sconces on the side of the mirror. Both vanities are on the same wall but divided by a door. Can I put sconces on one side of the bath and above mirror lights on his side if they are the the same style/finish?

A: Hi Sandi, You can absolutely do sconces with the larger vanity and a vanity fixture above the smaller side. We have collections that have both options available so the look will be cohesive. The Parkes Collection shown below is a good example of having a couple wall sconce options and several vanity light options that work well together. **Q: Chandelier Suggestion** *(in Home Decorating)*

I am looking to replace the chandelier that is currently in the entryway of my house. It is from the previous owners and I am looking to update the space to have more of a modern feel with some personality.
I need to find something that is big enough to ground the space of the high ceiling. 
The color of the walls will be painted a warm white.

**Q: What kind of lighting should be installed here?** *(in Home Decorating)*

Hello looking for a bit updated lighting version which still falls into farmhouse / classic but at the same time is accessible to change the light bulbs?  The walls will be painted white/cream. The fixture at the top can be moved to the center of the stairwell but in this case what are some options that are easy to change because it couldn't hang to low as it still needs to provide some light at the top hallway. Or would it be better to leave the one on top where it is and change it something more simple?  The lower fixture can also change but the placement will remain the same. Thank you for ideas.

A: chandelier is a classic choice that would add a touch of elegance to the space.  Also consider the finish. Brushed nickel or oil-rubbed bronze add a classic touch, while black or white can provide a more modern farmhouse vibe.

**Q: What style of light will be best for this playroom?** *(in Home Decorating)*

We are giving away this dining room set because we never use it.  It came with the house.  We are going to turn this room into a Montessori playroom for our little one.
We will not be able to afford installing can lights.  What type of semi flush light fixture would give out the correct amount of light in this room?
What size?
We were thinking gold.  Maybe a gold globe ceiling light?  Wicker? (I don't know if they put out that much light).  The paint will stay the same.  Adding Montessori shelves, House of NOA playmat, a nice sitting chair for Mom, changing table, etc.

A: Hi Dyan, What a great space for a playroom. Your ceilings appear to be standard height (8') so something flush or semi-flush will be ideal so that you easily walk under the fixture. **Q: Lighting consult needed for living room** *(in Lighting)*

I need help trying to figure out how many recessed lights to put in my living room. One part of the ceiling is flat the other part is slanted. I also intend to have those lights pointing down at the fireplace mantel removed. Also any suggestions on what kind of ceiling fan would look nice here? And does anyone know what’s the typical cost for the installation of recessed lights + ceiling fan light install ? TIA

A: Hi Rezo,  We suggest two recessed lights on the slanted ceiling and two on the flat ceiling. Unfortunately, we can not advise about the cost of having them installed since construction costs vary in different locations. As for the fan, what style are you looking for? **Q: I just bought the luxury cosmopolitan Tacoma series lights.** *(in Product Questions)*

It shows these with lights shining up but can you hang them so the light shines down, in other words can they be turned upside down instead of how their shown in the picture?
