I'm Janine Lamontagne and I'm an architectural photographer. My background is as a commercial photographer shooting variety of products and food for ad agencies and large corporations. I had the opportunity to work with an architect about 13 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. It brought me back to my love of architecture from my teen years, as I was unsure whether I wanted to become an architect or a photographer when I was in high school. Obviously photography won!

I work with all types if clients, whether you're a home owner, business owner, agent, art director, etc.. I have over 25 years of experience as a professional and will work with you as a team player to create images that reflect your home, design, or product.

My work can be found in The New York Times, CT Cottages & Gardens, Earth Magazine, Wine Enthusiast Magazine and many other on-line and printed sources.

**Q: LOVE this kitchen!  Question about the countertop** *(in Photo Questions)*

We are getting ready to renovate our kitchen and cannot decide on a countertop for our island.  I would LOVE to do this wood block/butchers block.  However, my designer it pushing me not to as it would be very high maintenance.  

What is this island countertop and is it high maintenance to keep?

A: Hi! I wish I could be of help to you. Unfortunately I am a photographer and only photographed this beautiful kitchen so I don't have any information about the butcher block island top and the up-keep of it. Good luck with your renovation!
