You can do due diligence, but in the end, you have to trust. My husband and I were in quite an emotional state, finding that the heavy rains of this year and last had led to a constant roof leakage. After 2 years of simply keeping pots underneath to sop up the water, we found to our horror black mold. I called several companies but Alex and his group, R.A.A. Construction, were the ones who came out immediately. I felt an instant trust in this man, and the company's five star ratings was reassuring. But it was the constant being there for us during the reroofing process, the bringing in the needed mold remediation and walking us through all the steps needed for mold removal and roof repair, that made it worthwhile. We purchased our home in 2021 and it was a complete mess. The condition of the home was bad; The roof has been 20+ years old, water came down the interior walls, the electrical was old and not to current code, no heat or hot water, the plumbing was in need of an overhaul, and the place had a number of other major issues. Moti gave us a very competitive bid to do the complete remodel. Once he and his crew started, they got to work quickly, were efficient, and did a very high-quality job. We can’t say enough great things about him and his crew; they became a part of our family. To anyone who needs a true contractor, feel free to take our advice and hire them! Ultimately, we had to do a complete bathroom renovation, so we decided to remodel all of them. At first, we worked with a different contractor that was recommended to us. We had to let him go, and we searched for someone else. We talked to at least 4 different ones and we felt that they were not a good fit. RAA Construction (Moti) gave us the fairest quote, and we decided to hire them. Now that our bathroom is complete, we can write that it was our best decision. During the remodeling, we had some hiccups (like inspection delay by the City) but it was smooth from start to finish. Moti was very responsive and there were no hidden charges while everything was specified in a clear way, and we knew exactly where each money was going. You would think that resurfacing was easier but it's not. The easy way is to gut the kitchen and start again. The service that I got from my project manager Joseph was exceptional. I knew what was happening and who was coming every day of the project. When I would be worried about something Joseph would say "don't worry it will be fine" and it was. They give top notch service with project completion on time. This was my second project with them, the first was my bathroom. The subcontractors that they used come in, do their job and clean up.
