I created AlignBetween Art \| Design to give my fine art photography & design a "home". I have been a photographer for over 20 years, first with black & white film and yes, even beginning in a darkroom.

Although I’m completely digital now, those years with film taught me what I consider to be the essence of photography: light, balance, symmetry and composition. The beauty of a shadow laying “just so”. The stunning lines and shapes of architecture, both historic and modern. And nature, with its innate symmetry and perfection - endless opportunities to capture something powerful or delicate - from fresh cut flowers to wildly shimmering leaves in a lush forest.

In terms of design in architecture and decor, I am drawn to mid-century modern. I have a love for warm wood & clean lines. My work however, spans any specific design “genre”. Perhaps its safe to say its contemporary. It’s fluid and adaptable. That’s a beautiful consequence of photography as an art - it can really go just about anywhere.

There is an interesting and exciting line between art and design. AlignBetween is an experiment with this very concept.

> We have met her personally, and have her artwork in our home, Her vision and attention to detail sets her apart from so many.

> My husband and I own an exclusive boutique salon in the Downtown Orlando area. We have proudly and prominently displayed several pieces of Beverly's beautiful art work in our space for several years. I love the availability to customize the themes and colors of the canvases to compliment our decor. We have had several clients purchase her prints from us right off of our wall. The canvases all have a very high quality look, weight and feel. I look forward to more of her work adorning our walls in the future.

> I had my eye on a few AlignBetween pieces for awhile. When the time was right, I finally choose Ancient Ganesh. Now the problem is I keep moving it to different rooms in my home!
>
> This piece looks stunning in real life and has the feel of high quality materials. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I even have a funny story about it. A visitor in my home thought that it was a Buddha!

> AlignBetween has provided amazing artwork for my family home. We are thrilled with the products and get compliments constantly. The owner is extremely professional and talented. She is willing and able to take on any project and will not rest until the client is happy.

**Comment from AlignBetween Art \| Design:**

> Dear Julie,
>
> Thank you so much for this wonderful review. I have a special place in my heart for the piece that you chose to hang in your home - as you know I have it hanging in mine as well! Working with you on photography for your beautiful child and family was an awesome experience too! Thank you, again, for taking the time to leave your thoughts, it's so appreciated. - Beverly

> As an owner of several pieces designed by AlignBetween, I can attest to the genuine quality and creativity behind each piece. The artist’s eye seeks to please, as she captures the essence of life in all its beauty. She doesn’t limit herself to one genre of art. She lives in the moment consciously and fully embraces each piece with delicate attention and heartfelt passion. The art I’ve purchased from AlignBetween has transformed my space. Each piece has brought its own unique energy in to my home and I feel a sense of peace that wasn’t there before. The process of ordering is simple and the level of care and service provided is exceptional.

**Comment from AlignBetween Art \| Design:**

> Dear BeAnne,
> I am indeed honored by your sincere review and its touching, personal nature. I have loved working with you on your AlignBetween purchases because I know how much you truly connect with them! The Peaceful Warrior in Sunset Orange turned out to be so stunning in your light and open meditation and yoga room - the perfect place. I now have the same one hanging in my office / yoga space, in Teal, and I just love it too! Definitely one of my favorites. Thank you for articulating so wonderfully what I try to do! You have a minimal style, which I relate to, and therefore what you choose to display really has intention - again I'll say I'm honored to be there in your amazing home!

> AlignBetween offers a variety of color options, which is very helpful in placing this organic and soulful art in a multitude of residential and commercial spaces. The artist not only has a keen eye for capturing beautiful images, she also has a very practical understanding of functionality and consumer use. 5 star recommendation without hesitation.

**Comment from AlignBetween Art \| Design:**

> thank you so much kali9! Love that you chose "organic" and "soulful" to describe my artwork. I'm honored by such a lovely review.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Commissioned art work but not feeling it. What should I do** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I recently commissioned an artist to create one of his signature pieces for my study. I told him to use more yellows and whites so that I could coordinate it with my sofa. There is something not quite right with it, or perhaps I'm over thinking this and should be great!

I feel bad if I don't accept his final piece of art. On the flip side, it isn't entirely bad and I guess I could live with it not being how I imagined and appreciate handmade artwork.

A: Agree with most of the comments! It's a beautiful piece and I think it's wonderful that you commissioned it versus buying a commodity. Especially when it's a boutique or commissioned piece, it's more about how the surroundings fit the art vs. how the art fits the surroundings. To give it dignity, perhaps "detach" it from the physical relationship to the sofa altogether, and see where it can stand on its own. They don't need to be next to each other to complement one another. Larger wall, for sure - it needs some space to breathe. Lovely studio, by the way.

**Q: What ONE thing do you LOVE that your spouse / partner does at home?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Your spouse / partner is the best, of course! What ONE thing do they do around the house, that you love and are grateful for?

Share your experience! (photos encouraged)

A: This is so easy to answer. My husband does a lot of amazing things - that's why I married him. But hands down, the man can cook. He's an artist in the kitchen and all I have to do is the dishes and play a little sous chef.

It's always a joy to see him execute like a professional, taking his daily food photo after an herb garnish and little citrus wedge placed just so.

Who wouldn't love dreaming up a meal - I will often suggest the ingredients - and then have someone pull it off in a way that you just couldn't, forgoing shortcuts and taking pride in making it all from scratch.

Plus, it's our time at the end of the day to be together in the heart of the home.

**Q: POLL: Coffee or Tea?** *(in Polls)*

Are you a tea household with a kettle at the ready at all times, or is yours a coffee house with a warm cup brewing or a coffee station to whip up specialty coffees?

VOTE and tell us about it in the comments! (photos encouraged)

A: Both! Dark dark coffee in the morning, but we'll mix with decaf so as not to go too bonkers, then followed by that tea kettle ready at all times - green, black, rich and earthy...my new favorite which is decaf...is roasted dandelion root.

**Q: What is More Your Style?** *(in Polls)*

This poll is for both people in the trade and home owners.

People in the trade: Which artist would you choose for a current project that you are working on or is in line with your personal design aesthetic.

Home owners: Which is style you would like to see most in your home.

A: It's a beautiful landscape piece you have there :-) Colors are lovely, complementary. I love all styles, and play with all three in my own work.

**Q: POLL: Which of these light fixtures fit your style?** *(in Polls)*

Light up your modern living room! Choose which ceiling light is your favorite and tell us why in the comments!

A: Definitely the Random light. Modern styles are often very angular - so throwing in some curves "rounds" it out. The Satellite gets my second vote though - I could see several hanging from some high-beamed ceilings or entry way.
