> Atlantic Design Homes did a bathroom remodel for us, in our one-bathroom home.  They showed true concern for getting the project completed in a timely manner so that our family wasn't without a bathroom for too long.  There are millions of choices to make when doing a remodel, and they took the time to help guide me in that overwhelming process.  They were professional, compassionate, clean and showed true respect for our environment, including my children's.  I would highly recommend Atlantic Design to anyone looking to remodel their home or build one!

> I was very disappointed while working with Lucien Kragiel.  Our attorney had advised against signing the contract he provided, but we didn't listen and paid the price for it - 3 times the estimate Lucien provided!  I will own some of the increase in cost, but certainly not 3 times the estimate!  We were told it would take about 4 months, and a year later, we were just finishing up.  He told me I was a difficult customer because I wanted black fixtures in the bathroom remodel - he apparently doesn't keep up with the trends in design.  I did all the research and most of the ordering of these fixtures, so I'm not sure where that makes me difficult.  He still received his 20% for doing no work.   He also over-charged us because he said I needed "extra attention".  Again, I never contacted his project manager - he contacted me!  Lucien insisted on using Florida Hardscapes for the pool pavilion, even though they blew us off for over 2 months, holding up any work that was scheduled to be done on it.  When they finally did show up, the workers (who spoke no English) had obviously never laid brick before and the whole thing had to be torn out and redone.  I'm sure that cost was passed along to us somehow!  Please, if you are considering using them, make sure you do not sign his contract unless there is a specified cost, not hourly.  Lucien was not at all transparent with us about ANY of the job costs or allowances for bathtub, vanity, etc.  He wanted me to pay him 20% of the cost of the linen press I had made for the new bathroom!  That would be like charging me 20% of the cost of our bedroom furniture!  He has many hidden costs, and it was our fault for not demanding a very specific contract, but I never thought I would have these problems with a local builder who lived in my neighborhood!  With all the trouble we had, and the people that continually stopped by to check on the progress (because they were looking for a company for remodeling), he lost quite a bit of business in this subdivision.
