White pedestal. Bronze fixtures. Neutral walls. Mirror is here A: I like the smaller tiles on the far right - great texture! It would give the room an elegant, rich and rustic look. It pairs very well with your mirror. If your design was super modern, then I would recommend the larger tile in the middle. **Q: advice on what I should hang** *(in Design Dilemma)* which would look better a mirror or a paining? it just looks too empty. this is the first thing you see when you enter the house A: I suggest hanging a round, decorative mirror such as the one above this bed frame to bring artistic interest to the area and a nice balance . The rectangular mirror that was suggested is too similar to the shape of the cabinet and the beautiful cabinet gets lost and overpowered by that look. **Q: Light or Dark Tile For Tub Surround?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I originally had planned to go dark with a contrasting border through the tile. My floor turned out a bit darker than I'd anticipated though and now I think the dark tile is too dark? Bathroom is staying white, no natural light (whoops), haven't found the vanity yet but was hoping for a dark brown with white top. Fixtures are pewter/brushed nickle. A: for the floor tile, I agree with your not liking it when comparing to your shower tile (love that). For the floor tile, I suggest you stay away from the square tile shape and go more rectangular in shape. you might even consider a wood look tile laid in a herringbone pattern. when selecting your color, if you go gray as you said here, stay away from any blue grays - you need a warm gray that has brown or tan undertones.
