> Virginia of Creative Kitchens is fabulous! We contacted her after moving to our home in Weston. We were frustrated with our kitchen. It was dark, there was little counter space, and the appliances were old. We had minimal storage which was not functional. I looked up designers on the internet and was impressed with the comments from her customer reviews. She was one of 4 kitchen designers I reached out to and the first to respond. Two others ignored my request, and the 4th wouldn't come out to assess my needs if I wasn't willing to commit to a project date and budget.
>
> She was gracious, kind, responsive, professional, and most of all creative in her approach to solving our problems. She actually listened to me and wanted to know what we were looking for. She met with us a few days after our first conversation and assessed our kitchen. The one aspect we did like in our kitchen was our cabinets. They were extremely high-end, very beautiful but just not enough of them. Because we wanted a ton more storage and counter space, I expected her to do to a total gut of the kitchen and replace all cabinets. Instead, Virginia took one look at our cabinetry and said these must stay – they are spectacular! She looked at our current kitchen layout and noted that because the entire floor area had high-end marble, gutting the kitchen and coming up with a different layout would mean finding matching marble for the floors and also would be quite expensive.
>
> Instead, she came up with a remarkable design that allowed me to keep my beautiful cabinets and gained me an insane amount of new storage and counter space by building out the cabinetry into a large peninsula island with counter seating, expanding the current footprint over the marble floor and adding a beverage area with a wine fridge to the backside of our kitchen. She had cabinetry custom-made to match all my current cabinetry. The stain and everything matched to a T!!!! Anyone coming in after the renovation could not tell which cabinets were the existing cabinets and which were new. So amazing and it saved us a ton of money.
>
> Virginia helped me every step of the way, guiding me through selections of new appliances, lighting, countertops, etc. She took me to several granite/quartz warehouses to find the perfect countertops. The contractors she used for the renovation were fabulous. They all did great work, were courteous and conscientious. Throughout the process Virginia kept me informed and we never went outside of our budget. What she quoted for the work was spot on.
>
> The best part of the whole experience was working with Virginia. She was more than a creative designer; she became a friend. I am so thankful we selected Creative Kitchens of South Florida to renovate our kitchen. I highly recommend Creative Kitchens to anyone wanting to work with a highly ethical and creative professional with the design experience to make your kitchen dreams come true!

> Virginia of Creative Kitchens of South Florida is an incredible professional and delight to work with! Although our project was placed on hold, we worked with Virginia on a concept which she was able to capture and creatively design. Our vision of what we thought we originally wanted for our kitchen were brought to life maximizing our space and reusing our existing cabinetry saving us money. Virginia will sit with you, listen and prepare a 3D plan for customers to conceptualize prior to making a decision. This gives the customer the option of making the necessary changes needed before the project begins. It's a great tool to have access to and be able to see how the end product result will be. Virginia is a true professional, on-time, always available, accessible and flexible; a project manager for your project. A hard find and an easy solution for your Project with Virginia and Creative Kitchens of South Florida!

> We hired Creative Kitchens to do a full gut remodel of 2 bathrooms in our house. Both bathrooms hadn’t been touched in 20+ years and were the original bathrooms of the house. Working with Virginia was an incredible experience. She began by talking to us about style, layout, and budget and made us feel extremely comfortable. Surprises are never appreciated in any remodel and she goes above and beyond to ensure you finish with a product that is exactly what you want, very on trend, well designed, and on budget. She was right by our side throughout the entire process and always communicated clearly regarding deliveries and timelines. What better compliment can we give other than the fact that we are now using her for our Kitchen and Master Bath. Save yourself the time researching other remodeling retailers and choose Virginia - you won’t regret it!

> I HAD MY KITCHEN REMODELED THROUGH CREATIVE KITCHENS IN 2015. I WAS SO PLEASED WITH VIRGINIA'S PROFESSIONALISM AND IDEAS THAT SHE BROUGHT WITH HER, SO MUCH SO THAT I REHIRED HER IN 2018 TO DO MY BATHROOMS. SHE GAVE ME THE KITCHEN OF MY DREAMS AND HAD SUCH WONDERFUL IDEAS NONE OF WHICH I WOULD HAVE EVEN THOUGHT OF. SHE ALSO BRINGS ALONG SUGGESTIONS OF TILE INSTALLERS AND PLUMBERS, AND ELECTRICIANS IF NEEDED. I WAS SO HAPPY WITH ALL THESE PROFESSIONALS THAT WERE PICKED BY HER. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL BEING IN MY HOME. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND CREATIVE KITCHENS TO ANYONE OUT THERE THINKING OF BEAUTIFYING THEIR HOME...

  - Location: Pembroke Pines, FL
  - Photos: 20
  - Description: The homeowner entrusted Virginia Perez, CKD, CBD to create a more functional kitchen with Cuban flair. The space formerly included an informal dining table which was replaced by 4 stools in the island. An arched entry way and a built in pantry were removed and a wall extended to square out the space to create room for the 5' by 7' island. A retro Cuban tile backsplash anchored the design theme and was complemented by gorgeous brushed gold hardware, lights, and plumbing fixtures.

  - Location: Weston, FL
  - Photos: 9
  - Description: The homeowner had 3 primary requests: she wanted a large island with bar stools, better cooktop, and a lighter color. She also had a limited budget and did not want to redo all the cabinets. When we started looking at the space, it turned out that there was no extra flooring so we could not create an island. We kept about 35% of the original cabinets, custom colormatched doors, cut down the wall behind the sink and added cabinets behind so the counters could extend past their prior space. In add…

  - Location: Coral Springs, FL

  - Description: A young family with 3 small children needed a large kitchen that lent itself to cooking daily dinner, entertaining extended family, and being able to help out with homework while making dinner. By cutting back a center wall that divided the room, the living room space was able to move a bit and the kitchen could expand.

## Community Q&A

**Q: How is the hood ducted?** *(in Photo Questions)*

The range hood seems to stop mid air

A: Hi, that hood is a recirculating hood. There was no neat way of ducting out and the client did not want a duct going straight up to the 12 foot ceiling. The kitchen is in the center of the home with too much distance from an exterior wall. Had we been able to hide a small duct inside the wall, it would have lost efficiency by the time it made it to the outside. The hood would have had to be quite powerful to push the air out and that type of hood would require a larger duct, making it even harder to hide. The other option would have been to put a remote motor, but once again, there were too many inefficiencies to make it worthwhile. Also, the stronger motor would have required makeup air from the municipality so the client decided to leave well enough alone. That kitchen gets used every single day.

In design, we often have to make some compromises as the only perfect space is the one you design from scratch. Fortunately, there have never been nicer options for ventilation than now.

Thanks for your question.
