> Greetings Houzz,
> I wanted to add some pictures to my review and hope you will update my post to include these. My first attempt at adding them did not work. Many thanks!
>
> Whitney Blair Custom Home team turned years of collecting ideas for what we dreamed our retirement home would be into a beautiful reality. Many of our ideas came from styles found in historical Charleston and Beaufort, South Carolina. We wanted to build an "old new house" with some cues from an antebellum home/bed and breakfast we had stayed at in Beaufort. Jeff Sanderson, President of Whitney Blair Custom Homes, and his in house architect, Dino, took our ideas and concepts, provided feedback and great recommendations which yielded a great final build plan and reasonable price point. This process took every bit of a year and they were always very patient and enthusiastic. The fact that Jeff and his wife Lisa have an old house in Beaufort was certainly a plus and ensured were were more that on the same page right from the start and throughout this process.
>
>
> Jeff set us up with an amazing project manager, Chris Smiles, who quaterbacked this build as if it was his own house. Chris's attention to detail, patience and the relationship that we developed made the building process a pleasure.
>
> We had some unique concepts that we wanted to incorporate such as a linear kitchen, dining, living room with an exterior brick wall and 4 double french doors to take advantage of the pond and golf course views.
>
> We requested the masons use weeping/squished motar joints for the brick work to give it a texture and an old world feel. To ensure it was what we had envisioned, the masons did some mock ups without us even asking. They were spot on.
>
> We struggled to find a wood floor with varied widths, long lengths and "character". Jeff was able to find a source, Steve Nowell, of Primeval Wood Ltd, who sourced and machined a beautiful 3/4/5 inch red oak in long lengths with AMAZING character.
>
> Jeff's carpenters did an awesome job throughout the house with trim work, wainscoting and custom features that were second to none. They took my wife's parents original wood shutters from their 1920's home and incorporated them into cabinet doors used in our living room on either side of the fireplace to conceal our audio/visual equipment.
>
> Jeff's carpenters also did a wonderful job installing a beautiful shiplap ceiling feature in the master bedroom.
>
> The carpenters and plumbers also took two antique sideboards and repurposed them into vanities for our powder room and guest bath.
>
> Jeff has selected, built and maintained great relationships with the various trades which made the building process smooth, seamless and stress free. Courtney Vaughn of Ferguson's Appliances always went above an beyond with guidance from selections to installations. Her input was invaluable.
>
> Kirk Riffel of Creative Cabinetry, like Jeff's team, was patient, passionate about his craft and produced a top shelf product in our kitchen, laundry room and master bath.
>
> The Jeff's wife, Lisa Sanderson, ensured the finishing touches were complete, conducted multiple inspections and caught things that we never would have seen. During one of these inspections, Lisa saw that the ship lap wood ceiling in the master bedroom was missing something. She immediately recognized and recommended some additional trim work which was later installed. Now a good looking ceiling is an awesome looking ceiling and we enjoy it every day. Lisa also ensured we were familiar with all of the manuals and warranty related information.
>
> Energy efficiency was another must and two ways to minimize our energy bills was to use Tech Shield Radiant Barrier Roof Sheathing. Living in the hot North Carolina coast, this has proved very valuable keeping the attic from getting hot, making it easier to maintain a comfortable inside temperature and reducing cooling costs. Next was the hybrid foam/fiberglass batting combination for the exterior wall insulation has also helps reduce energy costs and keep temps where we want them without have the heat pumps work overtime.
>
> Jeff and Lisa Sanderson asked us to participate in the 2014 Brunswick County Parade of Homes. We knew we had hit a home run in selecting Whitney Blair Custom Homes when so many visitors to the house commented on the appearance, workmanship, originality and warmth. A number of people stated that what was created and built was "more than a house, but truly a home" and "built with love". We could not think of better compliments and we found not be more thankful to Whitney Blair Custom Homes.

> We were so fortunate to have selected Whitney Blair Custom Homes as the architect/builders of our new home. Moving to a new state is both exciting and daunting. Not knowing anyone to ask for recommendations is frightening, especially with something as important as your home. From our first meeting with Jeff Sanderson we knew we had made a great choice. Every meeting reinforced that feeling. His staff of professional, talented individuals who take pride in their work, and the strong relationships Whitney Blair has with local contractors and merchants combined to give us the beautiful home we have today.

**★★★★★ — ppgam, Nov. 2014**

> From start to finish our home was treated as if each and every member of Whitney Blair were going to live there themselves. The dream we had laid out for our home was exceeded in every respect. Our dream home is now a beautiful reality .

> Whitney Blair Custom Homes is truly one of the best custom home builders around. They produce amazing designs and take more time and effort than most to secure the delicate details it requires to build a custom home. I was very pleased with their professionalism and their realistic project management.

**★★★★★ — lharringtn, March 2014**

> Jeff Sanderson and the staff at Whitney Blair are absolutely top-notch custom home builders. Our experience working with them met every positive expectation we had and beyond. Our project was handled with the utmost professionalism and regard for building the home we had envisioned. From the beginning, and throughout the project, we were included and respected in all discussions and plans. Meetings were held on time, and the atmosphere in the room was always friendly and positive. We were informed about every step of the way via phone calls, E-Mails, and the Whitney Blair website that kept updated entries about the progress of our home. We were also consulted regularly about expenditures, and it was a priority of Whitney Blair to keep us within budget, while remaining flexible when we initiated an upgrade.
> The company took responsibility to correct or replace any work which
> called for it. For example, when our patio bluestone had some discoloration in several of the pieces, it was redone with new stone without our asking. There were other instances where we were given this consideration. Dino Viscossi, the architect for Whitney Blair, was exceptional. He placed our house perfectly on our lot in order to create an optimal view, he gave us expert advice, and was extremely committed to pleasing us. The office staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Again, promptness was a priority and explanations to our questions were offered freely. They went out of their way to make things convenient for us. We are very impressed with the warranty and follow-up program headed by Lisa Sanderson. She has worked extremely hard to attend to any remaining issues after our move-in date. She has arranged follow-up work according to priority in a timely and efficient manner. We have been given tremendous respect regarding our schedule and privacy when work is being arranged. She has been very loyal to us, spending much time making sure our needs are met. It is obvious that Jeff Sanderson and everyone who works with him have the highest of standards. Whitney Blair is committed to excellence in every facet of their operation. Our experience with them has been such a positive one, and we are thrilled with the quality and the beauty of our new home.

> Jeff and Lisa built my home about 5 years ago. It has been a huge success, and had no issues throughout the entire building process. As jeff said as we finished the project" our relationship has just begun" and he was right. We have maintained contact, and he has stepped in without hesitation if there has been any growing pains with the house. I couldn't be more pleased

> As a sometimes editor, I am always removing excess adjectives from documents I edit. Today I am making an exception to my own grammar sensibilities. My husband and I have been exceedingly pleased by the creative, competent, talented, problem-solving, accessible, detail-oriented Whitney Blair team of professionals. They are also super nice people and a pleasure to work with. AND, they build a beautiful house!

**★★★★★ — gplandon, Aug. 2013**

> We have been in our Whitney Blair home almost six years now and we continue to appreciate the beauty, workmanship, and overall quality of our home. And as the years have gone by, we are gratified by the prompt assistance provided when we request their guidance on any issues, large or small, regarding ongoing maintenance of our home. They are always there to help us just like the first day that we moved in. Thank you Whitney Blair for all that you continue to do, and have done for us.

**★★★★★ — racarf, June 2013**

> Whitney Blair completed construction of our home almost three years ago. From beginning to end our experience was a professional and personal pleasure. We cannot say enough about their team and their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure their customer's satisfaction. Jeff Sanderson is a complete professional who listens to his clients wishes and makes every effort to accommodate those desires. Especially wonderful is the fact that even three years later, if we experience an issue of any kind, they are immediate in their response and willingness to right the situation. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of homebuilder and would eagerly recommend them to anyone who wants their homebuilding experience to go as smoothly as possible resulting in a beautiful home rich in detail and personal touches.

> We had our home designed and built by Whitney Blair Custom Homes. The entire process was completed professionally and with great support. We were told from day one that our satisfaction with our new home was the primary goal and Jeff and his company never waivered from that commitment. We ended up with a superior product of our vision. The quality of the design, construction and most importantly the people we worked with at Whitney Blair are second to none. We proudly show our home to prospective buyers and recommend Whitney Blair to anyone looking for a high quality builder.

**★★★★★ — Melodie Parker, June 2013**

> Our experience with Whitney-Blair was absolutely the best experience ever! We have built homes before but our relationship with W-B has been the easiest, lasting, and most professional of all. We would go beyond a normal recommendation! We still welcome the team to have them provide previews for prospective buyers to the end. Thanks so much for your continued service! The Parkers
