He is, by far, the best architect we have ever worked with. We had been trying to design a house plan for a year and met with two other architects. Brooks Ballard greatly exceeded every other person we met with. He showed a tremendous amount of patience and not only gave us wonderful ideas, but was open to our ideas as well. Brooks was able to listen to my vague descriptions of what we wanted and actually put those ideas to paper exactly like we envisioned. He was even able to decipher my amauetar sketches. Brooks captured the vision of our new home and brought it to life. We will begin the building process in a few weeks. I cannot give enough praise for the work Brooks Ballard did for our family. From the beginning stages of finding our true, unique style, to the finished blueprints, to everything in between, Brooks comes highly recommended. His entire process is wonderful! A small linen closet there, moving a door up here to take advantage of dead space - all these small details are what makes the difference between a thoughtful house and a house just slapped together. Here are a couple examples of ideas Brooks came up with: L-shaped breakfast nook in the kitchen with built-in bench w/ storage underneath, mudroom area across from the nook to have a window to create a focal point when sitting at the nook so you aren't staring at jackets.
