When we first met Jessica and Lauren from JL Design, they presented themselves with a high level of professional knowledge and said all the little things that made it crystal clear they would be the best choice for us to design and manage this project.

The almost $40k bathroom remodel didn’t even include towel racks.  I was told that they do what the client tells them to do.  I went to them for direction and I got zero.  They also would not return items I was unhappy with even though I picked them from small photos in emails.  It was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with any service based company.

**Q: Transformed my dark and heavy kitchen to light and airy** *(in Before & After)*

we were able to purchase the home my husband grew up in which is so special but the whole house needed a remodel to bring things up to date, up to code and make it feel like our style.  I knew this kitchen could never be ”modern” but suspected with a new counter/backsplash we could have someone paint the cupboards.  We are thrilled with the result - I think the kitchen cabs still keep their character and a nod to traditional style but still give the place a light and airy feel that makes it ours.

**Q: I'm buying a house with blue carpet. I need ideas!** *(in Paint)*

I am getting near closing on a new home. we do not have the money to replace the floors right now, so I am hoping for ideas on paint colors!! i will incorporate the kitchen area too since the floors do not match! I intend on fixing up the cabinets and counters and will have stainless steel appliances. The floors are better represented in the first 4 photos. I will also remove the strange frame above the fireplace!

**Q: Front Entry Door** *(in Paint)*

Help!
In hindsight, I should have replaced my interior doors with the shaker style of my front entry door on the left.  I tried to connect them with the color of the hardware, however, now thinking I should paint the entry door white.  Is this a good idea, or does it look ok the way it is?

**Q: Tiny Bathroom Remodel Before & After Pics** *(in Before & After)*

Here's our 2nd gut remodel bathroom.  This is our "master bath" - what I refer to as the world's smallest master.  We are starting phase 2 of our remodel in a few weeks which will include adding a true master suite, so this bathroom will become the guest en suite.  As a master, it would still be too small.  But as a guest en suite, I have to say I think it is perfect!  

We just need to add the shower door (they're coming to template it next week) and window treatments.  I'm thinking of Newport shutters for the window.  Thoughts?

We are going for Sapienstone Arabescato Porcelain in our kitchen for both countertops and backsplash.  One thing we are struggling to choose is whether to do a Porcelain or Cabinet finish on the hood.  What do you all think?

Hi All,

I'm trying hard to decide which granite would look best in my kitchen remodel. I have provided some selections that have already been finalized (two different kitchen cabinet colors, floors, lighting, and fireplace stone). My next decision must be the granite.  Do you prefer the Nevaska or Azul?

Note: I have not picked out the backsplash....any additional input would be welcome!
