**★★★★★ — Sheri Searcy, Sept. 2018**

> Hi, I’m Sheri Searcy, and I hired Greg and his guys to remodel a bit in my kitchen and den. Let me begin by saying upon his arrival, I told Greg I needed a “yes man,” and my expectations were high. And yes folks, everything I asked for, that’s what he said... “yes!” Not only did I get everything I asked for, but he also helped me bring my crazy imagination to life - finding ways to incorporate odds and ends I’ve acquired over the years from antique stores and such. I got new counter tops, appliances, and floors. I got a new bookcase to display all my favorite things. But best of all, I got windows in my den that open from the top or bottom, so when it’s raining I can open them and enjoy the thunder... without my pets being able to escape. And their work is beautiful!! I mean outstanding. It’s beyond what I expected. Yet despite all this, there’s one other thing to say. Probably the most important thing. Greg and his guys are THE nicest, most professional group of guys a girl could ask for. To say I trusted them completely in my home, whether I was there or not, is not a small thing. So with my whole heart, I’m recommending them for any future work you may be considering in your home.

> Gregg Martin and his team do excellent work and offer professional service in every aspect of the remodeling project. They recently finished a complete kitchen renovation in our home. Gregg was easy to work with and his team was timely, consistent, trustworthy and even cleaned up each day. Our home was built in late 1978 and the kitchen really needed a facelift. It has been transformed and updated into a kitchen that is functional and efficient. Gregg actively listened to my ideas but also offered great suggestions. The result is a beautiful kitchen that meets the needs of my family in transition.

> We hired Greg Martin to update our sunroom by replacing old windows with large, energy efficient, plate glass windows. He also built a toilet room inside our work shop which included a pocket door, baseboards and painting. Greg and his helper were always on time, courteous and friendly. They stayed on budget. We are 100% satisfied with the work by G & L Restoration.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What size is the shower area?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: aprox. "50 x 78"

**Q: French Door Grills, Keep or Remove?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm debating on whether to keep the grilles on my French doors or remove them for a modern look. Thought?

A: As a remodeler, I've replaced quite a few with gridless and the results are always the same. customers love the open look. More up to date for sure. I am about to swap to no-grid on a flip house for sure.

**Q: Where could I find a mirror like this?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Large Rectangle mirror. all small brown glass tiles. Very Sparkly :)

A: Pier 1imports carries this awesome mirror

**Q: Kitchen** *(in Before & After)*

This kitchen was originally a galley kitchen. We took down two walls--one between the kitchen and dining room, and one between the dining room and living room. We also removed two windows for wall space.

A: Looks awesome. 1 small critique: why do you feel the need to use white plugs? they stick out a bit too much. but great job!

**Q: What type of wood is used on the ceiling in the shower?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Cypress 1x6 T & G

**Q: Wondering about the shower dimension** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm in the process of adding a bathroom for my mother who will eventually become wheelchair bound. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A: the curbless option was possible when the foundation was poured for the addition. 3 1/2" recess in the foundation allows for in-built pan with no curb. the easiest way to do a curbless (if you're pouring a slab)
