From the spare to the rare she brings a true love of all great design to the relationship whether modern or traditional. Her strength is in listening and translating your dreams into selections that work harmoniously into great rooms. Together we'll create the right mix. She knows when less is more and when more is more. There are no pat design solutions. Everything will stem from your goals and preferences. Every space suggests different solutions. What makes each project exciting is that the design unfolds as a result of your unique space and needs. She understands kids, dogs, collections and what it means to run a home. Everyone needs a quiet place to unwind. Everyone wants an inspired place to gather with those we love. Even a formal setting should offer comfort. With an eye toward creating continuity throughout your project, each room should connect with the next. Since each room has a different purpose and architecture the continuity will never seem monotonous. Mixing modern pieces in with traditional selections gives the room a wonderful energy. A comfortable room does not need to be a predictable room. Her ease in addressing issues such as room flow, organization, light management, entertaining, comfort, scheduling and appropriate fabric and material selection make for a thorough approach that distinguishes a room full of furniture from a room that delights the eye and soul. At every budget you'll find that Fina Design will provide immeasurable value. Barbara's experience and meticulous planning avoid costly missteps. By buying through trade resources we can save you money and provide a wealth of choices unavailable to the retail market. She's confident, yet methodical, careful to entertain whimsy when the opportunity arises. Rooms should unfold with delight, embracing their purpose but engaging your senses. From the practical to the sublime she'll find that perfect balance. ### Services Provided - Interior Design - Kitchen Design - Bathroom Design - Living Room Design - Bedroom Design - Space Planning - Color Consulting - Furniture Selection - Kids Bedroom Design - Dining Room Design - Custom Cabinets - Custom Kitchen Cabinets - Lighting Design - Home Office Design & Construction - Custom Built-ins - Entry Design - Floor Plans - Playroom Design - Nursery Design - Custom Bathroom Vanities - Custom Furniture - Project Management - Laundry Room Design - Mudroom Design - Custom Blinds & Shades - Art Selection - Custom Home Bars - Guesthouse Design & Construction - Closet Design - Outdoor Kitchen Design - Basement Design - Custom Bookcases - Custom Walk-in Closets - Sunroom Design & Construction - Custom Rugs - Custom Entertainment Centers - Home Theater Design - Sustainable Design - Wine Cellar Design - Custom Fireplace Mantels - Custom Shelving - Custom Pantries - Drafting - Holiday Decorating - Green Building - Historic Building Conservation - Garage Design - Landscape Design ### Areas Served - Miami - Fort Lauderdale - Boca Raton - Delray Beach - Wellington - Jupiter - Palm Beach - Boca Del Mar - Kings Point - Highland Beach - Mission Bay - Juno Ridge - Palm Beach Garden - Westin ### Typical Job Cost $30,000 - 10 million Fees are based on design fees plus a 20% supervsion on everything that is purchased. Her invaluable guidance went far beyond things like electrical decisions, an area in which I had no confidence to attempt, and in creating the perfect layout for the pool so that it enhances the views from within our home. Barbara easily understood my vision through my communication to her with a brief consult and a few simple words: romantic, metallic, deco, and pastels… She got it! Barbara’s design plan was so cohesive— providing calm and excitement as you move through out the home. Her planning and budgeting tools provided me with a comprehensive high and low range budget to work with to help me stay on track. She met me in New York to visit some of the trade only design buildings where we were able to browse and select items in person. What a fabulous eye-opening trip that was! > > Her guidance goes from the practical and functional, to the glamorous details that give a room dimension and drama. All this adds up to design that feels just like what I imagined for my dream home. > > I wholeheartedly recommend Fina Design for your interior design and outdoor living projects. **★★★★★ — sstcj, Nov. 2018** > We wanted our bedroom decorated. Barbara tranaformed the room from a boring space into a peaceful yet elegant room. The complimentary ceiling and wall colors, softened the tall ceilings while added a little drama. Fixtures were used instead of lamps on the nightstands. They added a different touch and kept the tops of the nightstands from being cluttered. The soft rug, chairs and ottoman are comfortable yet very pretty. We have so enjoyed our lovely room! **Comment from Fina Design LLC:** > I am delighted to have worked with you to transform your master suite into a peaceful and elegant oasis. Thanks for this lovely review. **★★★★★ — golfmom24, Nov. 2018** > Barbara was terrific to work with, very professional and stayed on top of the project from beginning to end! We love our yard and would definitely recommend Fina Designs! **Comment from Fina Design LLC:** > So glad you are enjoying your landscape. We were just there for your periodic maintenance today and it's exciting to see the dombeya shrubs and tibuchina tree that are poolside and hibiscus standards in the front of the house blooming so profusely. It is so satisfying to see a garden mature well. **★★★★★ — debbiescordino69, Nov. 2018** > Owner entrepreneur, Barbara Fina has an uncanny flair with color She was great at combining more contemporary accessories with our traditional furnishings. I love how she created floral designs to pull the art and furnishings together. The new look is more upbeat and cohesive. **Comment from Fina Design LLC:** > It was so satisfying pulling this project together with you. Thank you again. **★★★★★ — Lee Hilton, Nov. 2018** > Our Jersey City condominium was a series of empty boxes, devoid of charm or character, featuring only a perfect view of the southern tip of NYC and the harbor. Barbara designed a much-needed wall of bookshelves, bar, entertainment and storage cabinets, so striking that it stops visitors in their tracks. Then she assembled a mix of old and new pieces to give us a look that perfectly extended the glamour of the Manhattan skyline into our living room. I could not be happier with the results. I’ve worked with her on a number of other projects, and her attention to detail, her sense of color and texture, are unmatched. She always delivers on her promises. **Comment from Fina Design LLC:** > So delighted to have worked with you. Thank you Lee. ## Selected projects - [Naturally Modern (Landscape Design)](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/naturally-modern-landscape-design-pj-vj~5427942) - Location: Delray Beach, FL - Photos: 10 - Description: We built our Florida home in a new lakeside community in Delray Beach. My husband and I moved here about 2 years ago and set to work immediately carving out the front and rear gardens that enjoy sunsets in the evening and fairly intense light inside and out throughout the day. I knew immediately that I wanted to create a dramatic enfilade from street to lake as you peer up the pavered driveway through the front double glass doors into the great room. A call came out of the blue. We met that week and immediately agreed to make a garden together. My clients, a charming retired couple, who have led a full and rich life, are now in the “travel-the-world-phase” of their life. They wanted a gorgeous tropical garden to return home to that did not require much intervention on their part. The results are all new plantings with lots to attract the eye at any point during the year. My first consideration was functionality. They wanted a cozy room for day-to-day lounging but also a room that would work for sophisticated entertaining. The husband had a habit of watching sports while eating at the coffee table. We decided to make dining in front of the tv a much better experience so that the couple could actually face the TV and eat sitting comfortably at a table.
