I was born and raised in the older part of Overland Park, Kansas, in a beautiful old farmhouse chalk-full of charm and character. I’m sure it was this house that laid the foundation for my creativity, appreciation for art, design, architecture, and simplicity.

A mixture of excitement, curiosity, and mystery are the feelings that flow through interesting places. My goal is to capture those feelings and the purpose of the design in a single image.

I work with architects and their partners who need a photographer that doesn’t over-complicate things. I like to keep things simple to ensure confidence and peace-of-mind for my clients.

Please contact me to discuss your next project. I’d love to hear what you have in mind!

**★★★★★ — Raw Urth Designs, Nov. 2016**

> Our introduction to Thompson Photography came through B.L. Rieke Custom Homes, and Tony's work is exceptional! We were so pleased to see our metal work photographed so beautifully! Tony has the ability to capture the essence of a space, and has a great eye for the small details. Our business is located in Colorado and Tony made the distance seem like nothing at all, his level of customer service was over the top and so appreciated .... even down to a handwritten 'thank you' note after we received the photos!

**★★★★★ — KHL Design Studio, Sept. 2016**

> I love working with Tony. He carefully frames every shot and lets me move accessories and furniture until we have the perfect photo shot. He has a vast knowledge of architectural and interior photography with proper light levels to highlight key features - very difficult to achieve. he is easy going, but professional. Our studio thoroughly loves working with Tony - he makes our projects shine and highlights all the hard work we put into making an interior fabulous. - KHL Design Studio

**★★★★★ — B.L. Rieke Custom Home Builders, Nov. 2015**

> Excellent photographer with a good eye for "the perfect shot". His customer service was also exceptional. Tony was always prompt and on time, and his quality work speaks for itself. Tony is definitely on speed dial for any future photo shoots!

**Comment from Thompson Photography:**

> Wow. Thank you for the kind words. It is a pleasure to shoot your amazing construction and design work. Looking forward to future projects.

**★★★★★ — RDM Architecture, May 2015**

> We got some great images and he was easy to work with. There was minimal setup and he used mostly available light which makes the process easier and faster. We did some staging for the photos and he was very careful to replace things that had been moved in order to leave the space as we had found it. We wouldn't hesitate to use him for future projects.

**★★★★★ — jessahar, Oct. 2014**

> Tony was great to work with. He was very friend and professional. Worked quickly and efficently. All of the 360 degree tours he shot turned out very nicely! Would definately work with him in the future.

**★★★★★ — sirenna, Oct. 2014**

> Tony is a real professional ! He knows his business and is a real asset when marketing a home. His photos are beautiful, crisp and he can make almost any home stand out. He works quickly and turns the photos around so there is no loss in marketing time. I recently used Tony on a home i had listed that had been on the market with three other agents over a three year period. The first thing i did when i listed the home was to call Tony. Soon after we completed and published the photos, i received two offers on the home and sold it.. I only have one problem with Tony and that is he has spoiled me from any other photogrphers.

**★★★★★ — User, Oct. 2014**

> Tony Thompson of Thompson Photography has my highest recommendations for any photography related endeavors, a true pleasure to work with and skills and Google accreditation unlike any other photographer in KC.

**★★★★★ — Wendy Hutchings Manning, Oct. 2014**

> On time, creative with his shots and listened to what the seller wanted as well as what I wanted. The lighting in particular is very favorable for listing pictures. I recommend Tony!

**★★★★★ — Tj Nigro, Oct. 2014**

> Tony did a 360° virtual tour shoot of my retail store (Village Gardens in Kansas City, MO)
>
> He did an excellent job and was reasonably priced. I recommend Tony.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Paint** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the color of the walls?

A: ematt21 - the color on the walls was more of an off-white/cream color. The orange tone comes from the lights.

**Q: Pillows?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I adore those sofa pillows (and, frankly, everything else about this room! Bravo to the designer!)...may I ask where they're from?

A: Hi Jess - I wish I knew. At the time the home owner told me about all the furnishings. Much of the furniture is original. It is one of the only Frank Lloyd Wright houses in the area. So much of the design reflects "Usonian Design" or "Usonianism". Google Usonian Design or Usonian furniture and you will probably be able to find much of what you see here.

**Q: Very nice! please tell me where to find the table and chairs** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hey Catherine I wish I could help but I don't know where you can get this furniture. I just took the pictures and was not given any details about the furniture. Sorry.

**Q: Great shot!** *(in Photo Questions)*

I was looking at your work because I found you on the Houzz photographers page. This is one of our projects, just curious if you shot it for a magazine article that we might have missed. Thanks.

A: Hey Kristina one more thing - the architect is RDM Architecture based in Kansas City. They have a Houzz profile you should check out their work.
