**Q: What kind of vibe does this great room give you?** *(in Lighting)*

We just bought our first house and are trying to decide which way we're going to go with it concerning fixtures and decor. I think a more traditional approach would go perfectly with the kitchen cabinets and counters, but my husband would like an industrial feel. I can't picture this space with industrial touches. Would it look good or would it look like an elegant dress got paired with ugly sneakers? lol Here are a few photos of the house!

**Q: Painting project** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello, I have a beach house I'm painting. It has 10 foot ceilings and lots of glass. So light is not a problem. I have been painting it with what I will call a cool taupe. My issue is the kitchen tile and wood cabinets. And no It will be to expensive to tear out or change either!   ;-)     I want a color that will blend and pop at the same time. **Q: Interior Design Dilemma** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are having a new home built, it’s kinda Mediterranean Arizona style. I chose an iron entry door in bronze, the windows thru out are bronze...I like the grey/beige warm color pallet for walls and we’re using wood look porcelain tile in brownish/grey...my question “What style & color for interior doors and cabinets???

**Q: How to arrange & furnish open room/library?** *(in Home Decorating)*

Struggling with how to arrange this open room. Want it to function as a reading & game room so comfortable seating and a table is needed. Plan on putting a large/fitting piece of artwork above the mantel.

If I keep the current chairs & rug, I think they look better in front of the built-in bookcase, but then the area with the bay window is empty and tough to determine what furniture would work there given the chair arrangement.

If the chairs go in the bay window, everything is shifted to the right/window side a bit (if there were to be a coffee table in front of the chairs), and the chairs are a bit too big for the space from the side view/depth of the room.

Don't have to keep the chairs. Pictures read a bit warmer than the room; wall color is white/off-white, chairs are dark teal, rug is accurate.

**Q: Looking for tips for my space** *(in Home Decorating)*

Hello everyone I hope everyone is having a good day! I am including some before pictures of my space and some of the progress I have made. I still need a lot of help as far as decor pieces ranging from planters, curtains, furniture pieces, maybe pillows and throw ideas. Any tips you throw my way are appreciated. I just got a new sofa set which is hand crafted by George Sandoval and really want to be able to coordinate it all if anybody is up to tackling this with me!

**Q: Advice on entertainment area..** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Recently purchased a new home and the wall in the living room is not appealing at all. All TV outlets and surround sound are in the nook beside the fireplace. Seems as if I can mount the TV about the fireplace, but it lacks character. Should I put a mantle? Or mantle and nice stone veneer? I don’t like the nook as well. Thinking of knocking the bottom and putting in a nice entertainment center that I own. Please help!
