What is the stone blend?  Where is the quarry?  Is it still available?

A: This home is from 1750, the field stone is local to the property.

**Q: Shelf above hood** *(in Photo Questions)*

Was the wood shelf above the hood attached with hidden metal brackets or are the iron brackets holding up the shelf? We are hoping to get the same look but our shelves will be lower and will need to hold heavier items for everyday use. We will also be placing the shelves on a tile wall.

A: The shelf is held up with iron brackets mounted into the tile bellow. Each one of those copper pots weigh as much as 30 lbs each. Thanks for your comment.

Hello!  My fav part of this room is the stone wall.  Would like to do the same as an accent wall for my contemporary kitchen.  Did you go for the real thing?  Did you use half sized stone?  Do you have any regrets or any advice for this project?

How did you achieve the look of the window surround?  Is that painted stucco, and if so, what color did you use?  Absolutely gorgeous!  Thank you for sharing.

A: Hi Christine, 
The windows are custom made mahogany. Above them, is reclaimed chestnut hand hewn beams. The beams wrap around the top of the windows and are visible on the interior as well. 
We did not use casing on the interior exterior of this home, allowing the stucco to wrap into the windows.
