A: We did not paint the wall color however, It is very similar to Chelsea grey - hope that helps! **Q: matrials used** *(in Photo Questions)* Hi, Love the wardrobes/window seat. could you tell us what items have you used and the dimensions? is it ikea? A: The wardrobes are Ikea Pax, the window bench are the Adel kitchen cabinets (ikea also) built on 2x4's. the wardrobe was 54" wide, we color matched paint to the wardrobe doors so we could add crown moulding on top to give it a built in look - ikea doesn't sell moulding a for these. The window bench was 2 - 30wx24d cabinets, we just cut sheets of mdf to use as shelves (this was to because we didn't have enough space for a third cabinet so the exposed shelves avoided filler strips. **Q: Paint color for fireplace chimney** *(in Design Dilemma)* We're building a new farm house. The focal point when you walk in is a dramatic floating fireplace between the great room and kitchen. I tested a light gray and white wash on the vertical pine planks but they miss the mark. Should I try a darker gray in a matte finish? Too much of the yellow pine comes through the washes. Thanks for any help you can offer. A: I think a dark stain would enhance the entire space, charcoal grey or a muted black wash, even consider darkening the beam and painting the angled woodwork off the beam to match the ceiling. Or paint all the wood on ceiling to match the ceiling and keep the focus strictly on the fireplace. Here is a photo of a project we did, beams gone black! **Q: Looking for advice on painting interior doors black\`** *(in Design Dilemma)* I've seen black interior doors with white trim in some magazines and even a local model home. (And of course I've drooled over lots of pics on Houzz...) I live in a suburb of Phoenix, AZ and it would be a fairly atypical design choice for this area. Any opinions on if we'll have to repaint them if we decide to move forward on this, is a true black the right choice or a deep raisin or pine type of color that appears black but would be a little softer? Any experience on how the black holds up? One of my friends thinks it will chip in minutes (we have kids, dogs, cats, etc...) but I am thinking a good quality paint would be fine? A: We are doing ours Black Fox, Sherwin Williams - and like you, we will probably one of 10 homes in our entire region that will have them. We also own a cabinet spraying company, and the prep of the doors and the type of paint used will ensure dureability, don't panic. However, watch your finish selection if your are brushing/rolling, the dark color will show the lines much more than whites. We are spraying our doors for a flawless finish, using an industrial grade laquer paint over an adhesive primer, we have also sanded existing doors substantially for good adhesion. **Q: Where are the sofas from?** *(in Photo Questions)* I absolutely you've these sofas.
