He responded promptly to messages and addressed all concerns that arose. > Taking on a project of this magnitude and cost, we wished that CEB’s would have explained more things we didn’t know to ask. For example, the LP siding that was put on the front of the house. We believe CEB could/should have provided us with color samples that LP already came in rather than have us pick a color. We also wish we had a true on site“punch out” inspection with CEB, rather than a text message or phone contact. It made very loud cracking and popping noises during warmer weather, as the roof expanded and contracted with the heat of the day and cooling of the evenings. I hired a Structural Engineer (not Cutting Edge) to inspect it, tell me what was happening, and tell me how to fix it. > > In mid September of 2019 we hired Cutting Edge to implement the fixes mentioned by the Structural Engineer. It meant installing new rafters and rafter ties for a large section of the house. When all was said and done the roof was rock solid. But alas the cracking and popping noise persisted. > > This is where Cutting Edge shined. During their work they noticed another peculiarity with the original rafter structure (not addressed by the Structural Engineer). When they fixed this peculiarity, IT RESOLVED THE NOISE PROBLEM! We are soooo happy to be rid of that unnerving cracking that came from the roof on summer evenings! > > We also had them remove a fireplace and chimney, put in a few new windows, a new hardwood floor, 3 new doors, a new hand rail on the front steps, and interior painting.
