### Reviews

**★★★★★ — LP, April 2021**

> My front yard needed a complete refresh - removing tired plants, renewing beds, and installing new plants to create an exciting and low maintenance space. Kristian was remarkably responsive to my initial inquiry and each time after that until he completed the project. He distinguished himself with a commitment to my desire outcome, with professionalism throughout the process. I would recommend Erin Landscaping to anyone who wants expertise and customer service.

**★★★★ — K. Craig Timlick, Feb. 2021**

> Backyard project Brick BBQ and Outdoor Fireplace. We were very happy with the quality of the design as well as quality of the work we had done.

**★ — Vincent Stodola, Sept. 2020**

> Erin Landscapes LLC and/or Erin landscaping and masonry LLC and Kristian Nason BEWARE!!!!!
> We hired Kristian in November or 2019. He estimated our project to take three weeks. We gave a 50% deposit to start work per his contract agreement. He began work, we saw him a handful of days and never more than a few hours. He ran his machinery into our brand-new wood fence, broke a panel and top cap. He tried to downplay this, eventually he agreed to fix the panel. At that point it was 4 months later he was a fraction of the way through with dirt mounds and trenches through the winter. He had our deposit and we felt we had to push forward to get our money out of him. He continued to have excuses for not working on our project, weather, health, other jobs, staffing issues.
>
> We eventually sent him a 15-day notice per the contract requirement (he uses the contract language
> a lot to defend his issues) This really upset him, but he showed up with a
> crew. The crew worked without Kristian onsite. He said that he would be there supervising the work, he was not there and rarely came by to check on his crew. He then fired the whole crew while they were working at our house for lack of performance. Throughout this entire time, we received promises that he would be onsite at specific times and repeatedly he would no call no show, and would not respond to phone calls or texts. 10moths later HE QUIT THE JOB! photos of what he left us. Hired a new contractor to finish who is doing great!

**Comment from Erin Landscaping & Masonry:**

> First and foremost the person writing this review is NOT a client of Erin Landscapes. Furthermore, that fact alone should give any potential client reading this review pause in trusting the legitimacy of these claims. This is in fact a project we started in November of last year and we most certainly did leave this project. However, these claims leave out very important supporting details as to the circumstances.
>
> First, the project was never given an estimated completion date due to the nature of our areas weather conditions when winter approaches. The actual client is in the industry and knows this fact all too well. Once the cold and rain set in the project ceased. Unfortunately, the world did not expect COVID 19 and as a result of our Governors mandated closure we were not able to open operations for another two months. Further heavy rain slowed the project down. We of course had staffing issues, like everyone else, during this time another fact the client knows all too well.
>
> Once work resumed we reached our 75% completion per our contractual agreement and the client was more then happy to pay that invoice. At this point the client began making changes to the size and scope of the project that were outside the agreed upon design and contracted work. Multiple estimates and change orders were issued. Some were agreed to then never paid and others were simply ignored. Continued discussion issued regarding boulder outcroppings that were part of the original design that the client wanted upgraded to bassalt from granite. The corresponding price changes for the materials alone was a few thousand dollars. Money the client did no want to spend. So, I drove to another material yard twice to negotiate the same materials for half the price. The client was still unhappy with the cost and wanted us to pay for his new materials. Mind you this processes had taken days and we had already cut in two large custom stone patios that had reached the point where we needed to start placing outcropping and stone for sub grade retention of the expanded gravel pads require to accomodate the increased patio sizes. Like the company Mr. Sodola works for, change orders account for all costs associated with the admin, materials and labor. The very notion that it was unacceptable for us to expect payment for this work reflects ethically on Mr. Stodola and not on Erin Landscapes.
>
> In conclusion, Mr. Stodola has completely misrepresented the facts and has attempted a slight of hand to obfuscate his own actions. Additionally, he has written other reviews on other sites making accusations that are completely and entirely fabricated. For example, he has suggested I have been known to change my company name and move locations to avoid any ethical responsibility. This is completely absurd and further highlights the lack of Mr. Stodolas credibility. We are local to Whatcom County and have never changed our name except to add Inc at the end. Any potential client that has concerns about our process or the circumstances of this unfortunate business relationship is certainly welcome to have a look at all the photos, emails, contracts, invoices, time lapse videos and text messages.
>
> Thank you for reading this response and feel to contact us if you have any questions.

**★ — Brian Bishop, Sept. 2020**

> WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME
> Non responsive, lead to believe they were completing my design all while they held my money for months and credited less than what I paid them for completing absolutely nothing.

**★★★★★ — Dozey Doodles, March 2019**

> Erin Landscaping installed a patio for us in our sloped back yard. The job was very professionally completed and the patio looks terrific. They also removed our original extremely narrow concrete walkways and installed new, wide, paver walkways. The patio and walkways look wonderful and are great to walk on. We couldn't be happier.

**★★★★★ — HU-667400008, Oct. 2018**

> This job was full of unforeseen challenges and required major redesign while underway. Erin Landscape figured it all out and executed a great final result. I will use them again for future landscape and masonry projects.

**★★★★★ — User, Oct. 2017**

> Erin Landscaping is the best landscaping company in Bellingham, Washington! After initially meeting with the owner, Kristian Nason to discuss our landscaping ideas for our new property, and after hearing his design suggestions and feedback regarding preparations for proper water drainage issues and hardscape work, we felt confident we were working with the best in the business. Kristian’s professionalism, knowledge and creativity were displayed throughout the process. We are very pleased with the beautiful patio, walkways, rain garden, retaining walls and plantings. His crew was always professional and hardworking!

**★★★★★ — Terry OBrien, Aug. 2017**

> I am very happy with the job that Erin Landscaping did on adding a patio and fireplace. Kristian and his crew were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I am especially please with the drainage and infrastructure they built for the patio/fireplace. I am confident there will be no water drainage issues with the area and that it will look great forever.
> We are very happy with the results and think it looks awesome!!
> Now we need to go get some patio furniture and do a little landscaping around the area. :-)

**★★★★★ — gptwist, Oct. 2016**

> We feel very fortunate to have worked with Erin Landscaping on our recent hardscape project. An overgrown garden was transformed into a lovely stone patio with a small retaining wall. The design is compatible with our surrounding area, and the assorted materials create and interesting and textured look: flagstones; cobble stone; and assorted rocks. We are extremely pleased with the result.
> The project included a great deal of ground preparation as well as dealing with and solving a drainage issue. Tree removal and stump grinding were also part of the preparation.
> When I initially contacted Kristian Nason, he responded within 15 minutes. He was on site that afternoon, assessing the situation and offering ideas. From that point on, we developed an easy working relationship. We liked his ideas, and he was flexible with our timing/schedule and the weather!
> Additionally, Kristian has a great crew! Hard-working, thoughtful young men who went the extra mile. We enjoyed working with this team and highly recommend Erin Landscaping! True professionals!

**★★★★★ — scotbray, July 2016**

> Erin Landscaping has got to be one of the best in Bellingham. Kristian Nason worked with us to create a hardscape design that complimented the house and existing elements. The plan included flagstone pathways and planting ares, a loose-rock retaining wall, reconstructed stairs, and a remodeled front steps. He provided a detailed quote and timeline, and then delivered exactly what he promised. We were very pleased with his process and results!

**★★★★★ — jafenwick, July 2014**

> Erin Landscaping & Masonry removed junipers from a hillside and terraced the space with three dry laid stone walls. They included a simple rock stairway, and backfilled the terraces with planting soil. They also built a paddock wire fence across the top of the hill including a gate. They did excellent work, interpreting our ideas in a very creative way. They worked quickly but never sacrificed quality workmanship. They completed our job straight through without delays to go work somewhere else in the middle. They cleaned the job site every day after work. We felt their price was reasonable especially after we saw the results. They are fun to work with, and I highly recommend them!

**★★★★★ — steveallison, May 2014**

> I hired Erin Landscaping for the repair of a water feature. From the time of evaluation to project completion I was more than satisfied with their strong desire to provide effective and timely communication, their work/professional ethics were always present and did not change and I was very happy about the clean-up following the work. The total package of workmanship brought everything together and I am going to hire them again.

## Community Q&A

**Q: How high is the fence? I love it!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It’s 8 ft tall.

**Q: Hog panels** *(in Photo Questions)*

What gauge wire and size opening did you use for this fence? Thanks!

A: Hi Ingerad,

That particular fence was built using 6' centers. The opening decreased as I got closer to the hillside to compensate for the slope.

The hog wire was actually galvanized horse panel. I believe it is 6 gauge. Hope that helps.

Regards,

Erin Landscapes.
