> I installed Timbertech Mahogany on our deck about 6 months ago. It scratches and stains easily and noticeably bends when you step on it. When it rains it takes much longer to dry. In the Summer, it is much hotter than wood (which is a concern for our feet and our dogs) and smells like melting plastic. I am currently removing it and replacing with pressure treated wood that is less than 1/5 the price. I have contacted Timbertech's customer support (feedback@azekco.com) multiple times at their request and have not heard back (so I guess their customer support matches their product).  Save your money and get the superior pressure treated wood.

> Four years ago I purchased 7 led post lighted caps, 5.5 inch in the color Kona. These LED 2 watt post cap lights are on timers for 4 hours per day and are used from June through September. 4 of the 7 have failed and at $175 each or $700 to replace ( labor excluded), this appears to be an extraordinary expense for a premium product? I would ask the company to please advise accordingly. Possibly deserves zero stars.

**Q: Ever wot with the Timbertech t&g for a covered porch?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What issues are there to work with if using t&g for a covered porch rather than boards with open space between? Trying to replace our old t&g front porch and would like to maintain the look. But not seeing many people using it.

A: Hello Kimberly, 

With our porch products, you can install them both in an uncovered and covered area. It comes down to the look due to the different widths of the porch products vs decking products. When it comes to the price, our porch boards tend to run higher than decking, so budget is often a deciding factor (this can be obtained from your local lumberyard). This was a custom installation and so we don't have the designs, however we would require a structural engineer for framing recommendations to support large load bearing columns.
