## Community Q&A

**Q: Do these dining chairs work?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just bought a big dining table 40" by 80", and we are thinking the chair options. Do you think the 4 IKEA chairs work there? It's just 2 of us but I really love a big table. We won't put 8 chairs around the table(only when we have dinner party), it will be too crowded.
So, do u think the old IKEA chair would work or we habe to buy new ones? Chairs can be expensive, and I am sort of trying not to over consuming.

A: Hmmm If i have to pick one, I would go with the top one. Still not sure if I would like the look of them with the table though.

**Q: Master Bathroom Bathroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi. Need your advice on how to make this area of the bathroom stand out visually look better. I don't like that currently there is one window behind the bathtub - it doesn't look proportional. If I put window covers it will highlight even more the difference. See photo. Any suggestions on make this area more wow would be appreciated

A: What about adding something simple like this? A simple wall decor. It doesn't have to be this one. Just an idea for you.

**Q: Before & After: Bland to Glam Backyard Makeover!!** *(in Before & After)*

Check out how we transformed the tired, dated backyard into this glamorous outdoor space that added so much style and value for the homeowner!

A: Amazing job

**Q: Exterior paint** *(in Before & After)*

Before and after of our historic Mediterranean

A: Great color combo!

**Q: Bedroom Update** *(in Before & After)*

We did some work to update our bedroom. Here's a before photo:
And here's where we are now:
(sorry the photos are a bit dark, they were taken in the morning)
We took out the carpet and had the hardwoods refinished. Painted the walls gray. Added white wood blinds and curtain panels at ceiling height. A navy area rug. Added some orange accents.
Haven't hung any artwork yet.
Thoughts?

A: Great job. The room looked very boring and outdated before. Looks very modern now and inviting. I am glad you changed out the table lamps too. As far as wall decor, keep it simple and maybe just put up one. From the look of it, I don't see too much room. Maybe a mid size framed artwork in light grey and orange?

**Q: Before and after** *(in Before & After)*

Our total kitchen remodel

A: I agree with Heidi. Good move with the cabinets.
