Justen had replaced the deck at the Station Pub so we looked at that. It looked good so we looked Justen up to have him take a look. Problems we had that were in addition to replacing the deck were that the original deck was not built to code (pointed out by Justen), it was sagging in some areas and parts of the outside walls were built over the deck and it was difficult to disconnect the deck from the house. Justen and his helpers solved all the problems and did a very professional job. As issues came up, they explained the problem, offered solutions and everything worked out well. If there were any negatives, one was the cost but that was largely due to the material cost and we had choices in that regard. The other was the time it took which was almost 4 weeks. That was partly caused by the guys all being young family men with those obligations and was not a problem for us. Throughout the project, he regularly communicated with us, to make sure our needs were being met and to inform us of his progress. From the development of the plan to finishing touches, he demonstrated a complete knowledge of construction techniques, building products, and building regulations. He had a great relationship with sub-contractors and government officials. Once the project was complete, he assured us that we could contact him at any time if there were any issues, which there were not; and then, made the effort to check with us at a later date to ensure we were still satisfied with the results.
