**★★★★★ — ZAREA Architecture, Inc., July 2018**

> I have been collaborating with Max Sanati and ERC for several years. Their project capabilities are diverse and extremely cost effective without sacrificing quality or design. Max always makes himself available to resolve any coordination issues that may arise. In this industry nothing runs perfectly smooth, but ERC goes above and beyond to do their best to make sure that the overall experience ends on a satisfactory note. I look forward to our continued collaboration and future projects.

## Community Q&A

**Q: change appliances?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Should i change out my white appliances for slate ones? Stainless steel is too drab with the cabinets, and black would be too dark, whereas the white is so stark. . .

A: I think slate would be too close to the cabinet color. Stainless would at least give you a sheen and a lighter color - without being stark white.

**Q: Small Bath Redo, Need help with walls!** *(in Home Decorating)*

I am redoing a small condo, the hall bath is tiny! 5' wide by 4'. I have purchased this 30" vanity and light to go over. The vanity has a mirror, but I am not in love with! The floor is a polished concrete porcelain tile. The picture doesn't show, but it is high gloss. The tile has undertones of greens and some blue. Really want this bathroom to pop! Wallpaper? Wall paint? both?

A: Depends on the size of the wall as far as tiling the whole thing or just a section. If the wall is small - go for the whole thing - bigger impact. I would choose a lighter color tile/stone - or even a combo. There are some nice stone options with stainless steel or glass accents that would sparkle a little. Make sure the tile/stone has some of the greys/blues of the concrete so it's not in stark contrast.

**Q: Is rose gold too feminine?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I would like to update a small (30 sq ft) 1/2 bath in my home. The bathroom has no windows. I am considering a vanity that has a mid-century modern touch and I really like this foil swirl wallpaper that is rose gold color. I think the design has a mid-century look with the foil design. https://www.iwantwallpaper.co.uk/arthouse-foil-swirl-pattern-wallpaper-geometric-textured-metallic-motif-vinyl-294101-p4750
The 1/2 bath is right off my entry and it's used by many visitors to our home. I don't really want a male or feminine look to it, just a modern look. What could I use as a color for the vanity or some other feature in the room in case it's too pink from the rose gold paper? I like copper and bronze and might be able to incorporate a mirror frame in one of these colors or hardware on the cabinets. The lighting is canned ceiling lights. Just concerned it will look like the "ladies room"! The toilet is new and skirted (white). Thanks for your advice.

A: Not too feminine if you bring in dark black/brown/blue for accent colors in the towels and accessories.
