> Don't be fooled by the positive reviews as I was. This company charged me $3500 for a basement walkout drawing (the real cost it's less than half including the city's fee), there were multiple lacks and mistakes in the drawing. I tried to call them but they ignored all my calls and messages, they've never fixed the issues and I had to pay an architect to adjust it, I also had to pay to resubmit the permit.
> For the basement walkout project, the initial estimate/quote was $16k but they change it to $26k pretexting the cost of materials.
> Be careful if you would like to do business with this company.

> I hired this company based on the positive reviews on another website. It took us a while to finally go ahead with the bathroom renovation. Amir followed up via texts, phone calls and emails. I guess this made him impatient and frustrated. When the time came to proceed with the project, issues quickly escalated. Not only did I have to deal with the complaints from the condo concierge about his worker(s), it became a toxic relationship with him also. Each time I pointed out a concern, it wasn't received well. I was labeled as ungrateful, unhappy and angry. Instead of looking at the people he hired, he blamed me each time.

> I was away when the demolition started. When I checked the site, dust was all over. There were no plastic coverings anywhere to contain the dust in the immediate workspace. When I pointed it out, Amir sarcastically replied:" Where do you put the plastic?" Also, a package was put together for Niloofar to work on. We ended up going out and choosing the materials ourselves, only to be told that the choice was too expensive or not doable. I adjusted to and went with his recommendations anyway. The pattern became, I find defects, he fixes, resulting in more frustration for both. In my mind, why not do it right to begin with? Everything came to a head on the last day when his employee couldn't get the washer and dryer to work when it was hooked up. At this point, we've both had enough of each other. I ended up hiring another contractor to fix the problems his worker(s) left behind. I will only mention two major ones.

> 1\. Inside the stand up shower, there were gaps on the floor wide enough for the water to seep through. Also, sanded grout was used instead of the unsanded one, the correct type used for the area. No sealer was applied to mitigate this error. On the area where the tiles meet the ceiling, plaster was used all around. In no time, all these would have caused the tiles to crack and get damaged, moisture would have been trapped and cause molds. Water already started seeping through the gaps when the shower was used the next day.

> 2\. Amir informed me that the wall had to be reinforced in the area where the new floating vanity sink would be installed. When his employee did it, he put the metal stud too close to the shut off valve, rendering it immovable and useless in case of emergency.

> Payments were always on time, even early except on the last day when I decided to withhold 5%. I wanted to make sure that everything is done. I ended up paying the next contractor more than the 5%. For the untrained eyes, the poor quality of workmanship by TMDC Group would have passed easily. Interestingly, Amir threatened to put a lien on my condo if I didn't pay the balance. When I attempted to make him reimburse for the difference, there was dead silence.

> So happy with how my main floor and second floor renovation turned out. TMDC group People, especially Niloofar  and Amir were absolutely amazing the whole way through.
> We had got something like 10-12 quotes from different general contractors, and ended up with TMDC because of their professionalism, good reviews, detailed quotes, timeline and friendly employees. They were not the cheapest, but also not the priciest. You definitely get what you pay for. They are offering you based on your budget.
> All the trades that came through, tiler, floor installer, painter, fireplace stone installer, electrician, etc, were incredibly friendly and professional and made the work look easy
> In the time that TMDC was working on my town house, they almost always cleaned up, took out the garbage, and let us know timelines as what trade was coming when. They were very careful putting down floor protection.
