Timothy founded Arca3 Design Studio Inc. in 1992, after living & working in many parts of the world, creating a variety of unique estates, homes, restaurants and spas. The concept for Arca3 was born with his return to Vancouver to share his globally influenced vision for unique details and environments. > Tim and his staff are very talented artists. I call them artists because what they create can be truly labelled as art. It is one thing to design a house to cater to an owner's tastes but the true test of an architect's skills is if they can design a house that has a heart and  sole and will live long past it's current owner. Arca 3 is definitely in the second category.

Where can I get this light please?

A: While this was a custom fabricated fixture, this lighting line is part of Bocci's 28 series available from Bocci. Here is the link: http://www.bocci.ca

**Q: Where can I buy that dining table? And what's the dimension** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where can I buy that dining table?

A: Hello, This dining table was custom fabricated for the project and is only available via custom order. It is a 72" square (72" x 72") on a centre pedestal.

**Q: Beautiful brick - where did you get it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: For this project we used a blend of reclaimed brick from old buildings that we purchased from architectural salvage dealers.

**Q: How did you create the wide border on the tray ceiling?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The ceiling border is a custom cornice we designed and had fabricated in plaster.

**Q: How were drum lights done? made? bought?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: These drum lights were created by a combination of readily available shades and customization to suit our design.  We purchased the shades from a local lamp shade supplier and reworked the top rings to mount to the ceiling mounted light fixtures.

This is beautiful design!  What are the components  of the tub & shower?  What is the structure & how did you build this?  Thank you.

A: Thanks for the compliments! This was one of our custom designs where we set a very deep soaking tub in a hand forged stainless steel and structural steel shroud then capped it with a 3" thick slab of chiseled edged granite. The complete tub is set in a well, fitted with drains covered by a bed of  black river rock to act as a safety overflow. The shower head is recessed in the dropped ceiling along with infrared heaters. The shower is controlled by a digital electronic control.
This was indeed a complicated design and engineering process , all made possible by a great team of talented trades.
