DUMICAN MOSEY Architects is a San Francisco based firm established by Eric Dumican and Matthew Mosey specializing in design-oriented architecture and interior design projects.

The seeds of DUMICAN MOSEY Architects were planted nearly 20 years ago and 3,000 miles away in Bristol, Rhode Island when Eric and Matthew met while attending Roger Williams University. Upon graduation and pursuing their separate careers in architecture, they crossed paths again in San Francisco during the Dot-Com boom. After each forming successful practices, Eric and Matthew formed the partnership of DUMICAN MOSEY Architects in 2006.

DUMICAN MOSEY Architects believes process is paramount. Our practice is guided in a structured sequence of interactive decision-making that tests alternative solutions against stated objects, seeks consensus based on clearly defined priorities and results in cohesive living environments that consistently exceed expectations. Is this finished wood or a composite of some sort for the ‘balcony’ above the open space. It looks great with this house. Thanks.

A: The wood siding is genuine Honduran Mahogany with a transparent stain (Sikkens ProLuxe Cetol SRD) Thank you for the comment!

Love this house and looking to do something similar in the UK.

A: Thank you for your comments and inquiry.  The house has five bedrooms including an in-law suite.  As each of our projects are custom and uniquely designed for a specific client, location, and set of requirements and influences we respect their privacy and investment by not sharing or replicating the plans of completed homes. A: The curb/half-wall is veneer plaster on wood framing and the balusters (i.e. vertical bars) are painted steel.

Who is the manufacturer of the grill?

A: The grill appliance is DCS. The balance of the assembly is custom stainless steel by Berlin Food Equipment, South San Francisco.
