## Community Q&A

**Q: confused on colors** *(in Photo Questions)*

You indicate poppy 1315 from Benjamin Moore but the green tag reads Vermilion red. I painted my cabinets Poppy 1315 and am disappointed. There is a pink hue to the caninets instead of a warm red. Difficult to find colors to compliment. Can you explain?

A: @kimdonley: Sorry to hear of your disappointment. We often create exact finish samples for use in the field when first specifying paint colors and finishes. Often these are done on a panel that has been primed, other time they are painted directly on a wood sample that has been prepared by the cabinet maker. This allows us to provide out client with an exact feel for the color and finish, after all seeing is believing!
The color is not BM1315 (another houzz user commented and suggested that was the color). From our original spec (this was posted above on 1/23/2012).
"The paint is from Farrow and Ball, from my project specs:
"To be painted Farrow and Ball “Blazer” Number 212: Paint Type: Water Based Eggshell 20% gloss level (ASTM standard)"

**Q: Brass bed** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello, where did you find this beautiful bed?

A: Erin,

The brass bed belonged to our clients. They had it for many years and I seem to recall it being in storage. During one of our visits we examined and inventoried their existing furnishing and found this bed. It is wonderful when heirlooms are reintroduced into our modern day to day life. After all, "things of quality have no fear of time".

**Q: What kind of TV/computer is that? Looking for a TV come computer with a touch screen monitor.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The object hung on the wall (blue painting) is a piece of art. A color study by the artist Jacob Hirschey.

**Q: What are cream and orange colors on the walls?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I'll have to pull the project binders, but I do not know if this color is recorded. There is a chance that these colors were existing and not recorded (this image is from before my time at the firm) I will check with Henry Johnson and get back to you.

**Q: Great room. Where can I find a skinny shelf with a lip like this for displaying pictures?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I want to do this in a dining room. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you so much.
