> I needed someone to overhaul our front room.  I found Allie from You & Yours Fine Vintage through a friend and had her over for an assessment.  Hired her on the spot!  Her design skills were immediately apparent as she initially just rearranged a few of our items to breathe new life into the room.  But her ongoing consultation resulted in a room I feel thrilled to host guests in.  Her impeccable taste and amazing resources have brought in a number of prized and beautiful new additions to our home.  From a one-of-a-kind vintage floor lamp to some simple yet elegant barware, I can't wait to host our next dinner party!  Living in NY we obviously don't have a lot of space but Allie was able to tap into our style and enhance our living space in a way that actually makes me proud to show off.   And a visit to her showroom where she displays a lot of her items left me wishing I could buy the whole damn lot!  Thank you, Allie!!

**Q: Dining chairs** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi - where did you purchase the dining chairs?

A: Hi, Mary. Thanks for the Q. This was a styling project, so I didn't buy the dining chairs. BUT! where are the kitchen stools and the dining room chairs from?

A: Didn't provide the dining chairs, either. But you can find similar on West Elm and the like.

**Q: What color to paint our shutters** *(in Paint)*

We are finishing up restoration of our 1875 "shotgun" city house in New Bern, NC.  We just received our cedar louvered shutters (with one mid-rail) that we want to stain before putting them up.  Should we stain the three sets of shutters with the cream color (BM Standish White, HC32) or the teal-ish color (BM Newberg Green, HC-158).  Also the link below has some close-ups for the colors being used.

A: I like slightly contrasting colors, TBH. For me, cream is out bc it's too common. Love the teal option bc it's a bit unexpected and IMHO would be prettier than red. Good luck!
