I love the sprawl of the Ranch style home and wanted to keep the integrity of the “old lady”. I wanted an architect who could appreciate a mid-century modern design, slump block, low ceilings etc. I interviewed seven, I was confused because it was their vision they were strutting while my vision was totally overlooked. Hearing stucco was a no go! I wanted to enhance the original beauty. Then I interviewed Susan. When she spoke to me it was as if she was reading my mind. We spoke about things that were important like enhancing the view while enhancing the timeless design. > > I had never hired an architect, so going through the interview process left me with more questions, I found Susan the most organized of the ones I’d interviewed. She laid out the process in her contract. It was professional, informative, detailed and actually worked accordingly - no surprises. Susan was flexible - there were many decisions - she took the difficulty out of the process. Susan was mindful of my wishes/budget and was gifted in her creative solutions. A: The entry door was custom built by the general contractor, Identity Construction, LLC in Scottsdale, AZ. A: The lights were a custom design using Mexican tin stars and LED lights inside.
