She immediately (literally, immediately) saw a vision for the space that fit our aesthetic and home style! She walked us through our options, explained concepts to us like the work triangle, and even managed to make some extended space of our kitchen work. Her mock-ups were well detailed and she was patient with us while we went back-and-forth with questions and changes to the plan. She even spent extra time with us walking through our house making additional style suggestions, and generously spent time on the phone with me explaining how to tie rooms together through style. I’m sorry, i do not know the stain color- i believe it was a custom mix! Cheers! **Q: Help! Does this bksplash go with our kitchen? Is it too blingy?** *(in Remodeling)* My husband and I have started designing a kitchen remodel and expansion. We're trying to decide on a backsplash and can't figure out if this backsplash is going to end up too blingy or if it'll be just fine. This not a great picture of it. The colors under the glass are metallics in gold, silver, and copper with a decently thick clear shiny glass coating. It'll be a 12-18 inch backsplash for roughly 25' of counter space in a ~ 20x15 space. Would the size of the tiles make a difference in whether its busyness/blingyness? Is it a huge risk for resale in ~4-10 years? Other kitchen elements: We're consider maple both knotted or not and walnut. If we chose it, the maple would be lightly stained to bring out natural grain. The base cabinets will be a shaker style. We're not sure if we're going to have uppers or go with an open shelving look for the uppers. The countertops will be either butcher block wood in John Boos Walnut or Maple, or Black Walnut or chocolate Paperstone shown below. We're considering other backsplashes as well, but this is by far the most "statement piece" design and we're a bit out of our element with figuring this out. Thanks a lot you guys and gals! I'm sorry. **Q: What type of flooring is this? brand? color?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Brandi, the homeowners selected this flooring themselves, so I do not have the brand. I'm sorry. The comment is correct, it is hickory, and it was a mixed width engineered floor with heavy distressing. If you have other questions, please feel free to ask!
