Ken is committed to building a top company that provides premier service, creative designs, and top quality craftsmanship within our budget. Their team is equally as committed and made our experience better than we had even hoped for a large addition/renovation project. From the initial design to the final punch list item, we were continually impressed with the quality. It’s the little details that make a difference! For example, we had contemplated various architect’s designs over the years, but Ken’s team is the first to truly create a design that worked with the neighborhood, our needs, our desire for something special, and finally something within budget! Some of his team are full-time employees, and some are subs. All were excellent in their trade! We had to adjust a few brick walls and openings. His team matched the mortar perfectly - hard to do with 100 year old brick! And, their interior trim guy... I am still admiring the beautiful trim around the doors and windows! Due to our scope of work, the entire process beginning with the architectural design phase, took just over a year to complete. Ken Marzullo was consistent with the completion date the entire time, which is nearly unheard of with builders. I am a very detail oriented person and I really appreciated how much care Ken took in making sure nothing was missed or brushed over. He is extremely honest and upfront about everything from cost to extent of work and how long it should take to complete. During the first month or 2 of work, my husband and I found out we were expecting our second child which made timing tight with moving back into our home. Ken and Paul, his Project Manager, were amazing in trying to get us back in before baby arrived. Thanks A: The wood on the stairs is a red oak. We sanded and stained them. The stain is a Minwax custom blend the client picked with their Interior Designer. The stain blend was created to have a resemblance to Cherry. Floor is finished in a High Gloss. **Q: What material was used for the skirt/slat boards?** *(in Photo Questions)* What Material was used for the skirt/slat boards? How wide are they and what size is the gap? Thank you! A: I think they would. I think we just did something similar to a piling home with same application. See attached pictures. We use trex but for this project we used TimberTech. I think you could us the deck boards but would cost more.
