A: Hi there! These posts and the handrail are custom to the deck. We sell Feeney DesignRail, which is a customizable system with a wide variety of top rail choices to choose from, and is also compatible with the Cable Railing system. **Q: Deck Stain advice needed** *(in Porches & Decks)* We have a 10+ year old deck that was painted two years back with a water based color. Our contractors stripped and sanded it recently. There is still some of the old reddish paint spots showing up here and there. We are thinking of staining it this time but just can't make up our minds which brand and what kind of stain to go with. I started looking at Penofin but they have so many competing products that its hard to pick the right one. I have attached two pictures of the stripped/sanded deck, one in light and one without light to give you an idea how the deck looks like. It seems it was built with 2X6 redwood the kind easily available at Home Depot. Our requirement for the stain is, it would be great to see the wood grain but at the same time I want something that lasts longer before I have to restain it again.
