I have recently bought a used entertainment center that would fit so nicely for the wall where my tv hangs out. It is about 10 years old and a bit scratched up but nothing a little sanding, staining (gel stain) or painting can't fix. I think if I get it right, the 2-piece unit will look totally new and updated. I've attached a couple pics of the colors of my family room and the wall its going up against. The unit is not pictures as its in the garage right now waiting to be cleaned and sanded. The pictures are a bit dark but the room is mostly golds and red and a black table. Coffee table and 2 other side tables and bookcase are wood. Could you recommend if I should stain the entertainment center or paint? And what color? I am looking at General Finishes products. I have used their Java color for bathrooms but I think it would be too dark brown for this huge center. It's 77 x 79. The unit is a medium wood stain right now. Thank you in advance!
