> Kudos to Jake and the crew. They came in and removed hedges, bushes and old aggregate lickety split and completed our backyard renovation on time and on budget. I've dealt with contractors before and there's always the fear they'll rush off and service another customer whenever it suits them. Hyland stayed the course. They said it would take three weeks and it did. The crew showed up on time every day, cleaned up every day and conducted themselves professionally. They finished the job by installing a selection of  plants (their choice) which are growing beautifully. I heartily recommend Hyland to anybody considering a backyard update.

> I recently moved to a ground floor unit in a co-op, inheriting a fair-sized patio and a neglected garden (featuring a laurel tree and some scraggly rhododendrons). Mike at Hyland Landscaping was the first company to respond when I reached out for some help. From photos I sent him, he suggested major soil replacement and, since the garden is in shade because of a high wall, perennial plants that do well in the shade. I went online to get recommendations for plants--printing off photos of the ones I liked best. In a few days, Hyland worker Scott (and a buddy) showed up with wheelbarrows and spades. They worked for several hours removing the bad topsoil, a couple of the pathetic rhododendrons, filling in new soil--and, after a trip to their plant wholesaler, Scott returned with a wonderful array of bushes and plants matching the colours and textures I'd suggested. Bark mulch applied as a final layer. A bright assortment of pansies, impatiens, and petunias for the few pots edging the patio. I couldn't be more pleased. Turned out to be a little pricier than I had projected but not a whole lot. And, hey--in the midst of this pandemic, the money I set aside to do some traveling is best used here for a "staycation" by a beautiful garden. Thanks, guys!

Their staff was on-time, professional, and very good at communicating during the project to help us get exactly what we envisioned for an end project.  We have already recommended them to a few friends and they have followed up twice with us to see how we like the final product and check to see if any additional touch ups are needed.  You will not be disappointed with these guys!
