How to plan a living room furniture layout?

A: Thanks for the description.. Your layout could work, however, you're right you wont have much extra seating space. What if you put the L-sofa on the long wall with the picture window. The long part of the sofa against the wall, even in front of the window a bit... put the space above the fireplace to use with the flat screen tv there. Then you will have additional space next to the sofa, as well as on the shorter wall on the side where the doorway to the bedroom is, for more seating like a small chair or two, maybe even love seat. Of course, I'm not sure on sizes so I may be picturing a bigger rectangular room and more space than is actually there.
