> They were just the absolute worst. I gave them what I was looking for and they decided to throw all my wants out the window and just do whatever they wanted. It looks terrible and honestly ruined my house.

**★★★★★ — Piccadilly Paint, Oct. 2016**

> Rhonda helped me choose antiques and fabrics for my home in Westport, CT which is a stone, normandy style house built in 1929. I have worked with her at various times over the past 15 years. She has authentic, european fine taste and created found for me a beautiful antique french armoire, with pale green patina, gilded mirrors, farm table, etc as well as beautiful, natural linen fabrics to compliment the antiques for a simple but elegant look that is perfect for the house. She is extremely knowledgeable of particularly Swedish, Scandinavian and French antiques. He honest and easy going demeanor makes her a pleasure to work with and seek advice from. Her firm, Eleish VanBreems also creates reproduction pieces that are beautifully made; she designed a custom chest of drawers for my daughter's bedroom with a beautiful hand-rubbed patina in a teal blue matching the blue in the bed fabrics. I highly recommend Rhonda and her partner, Edie; they are very unique in their approach and execution of the simple, clean Swedish antique look./Users/anitaparry/Desktop/photo.JPG

> Rhonda and Edie have a cozily elegant esthetic and we loved visiting their shop on Main Street in Woodbury. When we built a small cabin in the hills of Litchfield County as a Scandinavian stuga, we furnished it with Swedish country pieces purchased from them. We love our stuga, and remember Edie and Rhonda fondly, especially when reading through their handsomely photographed books.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the bar stools? where are they from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi There!
Thank you!! They are from Celerie Kemble's furniture line. We upholstered the seats in Holland and Sherry blue/grey wool.
All my best,
Rhonda

**Q: Need chairs for dining table** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We bought this Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams dining table and am having a hard time deciding on what chairs to match it with. We were thinking of upholstered chairs for the ends, armless chairs for the middle and possibly a bench. Does the wood colors need to match? The table is an Indonesian Rose Wood so it has a cherry wood like color to it.
Also would like to repaint the room, possibly a lighter gray color.

A: Upholstered side (4), Upholstered Arm (2). Choose a fabric that is light grey, or several shades down from what the wall color is. That way you bring in lightness, but don't have to paint the room. A wide stripe might be very nice and sheer, flat roman shades so you retain the outdoor light, but you have a finished window.

**Q: Brady bunch house needs help** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are purchasing a beautiful 40 year old lakefront property but what can we do to make this home look better. Need suggestions. Front porch? Paint stone? Cooper color Metal roof? HELP! Any suggestions appreciated!

A: Hope that helps...

**Q: Help with living room design** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am trying to create an inviting living room that is used both as a family space and for entertaining. It is lacking atmosphere and the layout is funky for placing furniture. I have a low level media stand coming. I would love advice on layout, color, lighting, window coverings for bare windows - anything! I am drawn to nautical and scandinavian styles but live in the mountains. We also have access down open stairs to garage with a half wall.

A: Hi There, Do you have a floor plan with measurements? Could you post details of pieces you would like to keep? Tell me a little bit about the light you get. We are Scandinavian Interior Designers here in the US. Happy to help with the layout and color. Also, need to consider the function of the space. All my best, Rhonda
