We relied on him at every step of the way: from determining scope, to outlining broad goals, to layout, to cabinet design, to stain and baseboard selection, and most importantly to his careful and diligent implementation of the changes to our house. We feel like we live in the same home with the same character, but transformed into a brighter, roomier, more functional space.

During that renovation, he realized the upstairs subfloor wasn't properly supported, and came to us with a plan to cheaply address that problem, explaining why it was important. From a layout standpoint, you can tell that the builder and owner, Mike Priolo, has paid special attention to the natural flow and function of the home. Upon taking possession, we had some additional upgrades added based on our unique family needs, and Mike made creative recommendations on materials and designs that would provide the utility we were looking for, while also extending the character of the home. During our final home inspection, Mike ensured every touch-up was completed to the highest standard so that our new home was perfect and move-in ready, and he went above and beyond to answer questions and make adjustments well after we had moved in.

Working with Mike was fun and exciting, and at no time did we experience any frustrations or negativity. He is upfront and honest. He expects the same from all his trades. > I met Mike while showing his personal property to a buyer client. As it turned out, he was also the builder of the exquisite executive home, and I was very impressed with the finishing and workmanship. After our offer was accepted, my client and I met with Mike for over 2 hours as he went over the various infrastructure upgrades and his own personal philosophy. These features included the use of hardy board, aggregate concrete, specially designed ceiling drywall for skylights, upgraded roof vents, foundation membrane, above code insulation, composite and maintenance free decks and railings, gorgeous, chic, fireplace, facing, gorgeous, custom cabinets and granite – the list went on and on. I was so impressed with the quality of finishing and workmanship; it was obvious he took a great deal of pride in his work. Later, I approached him with some renovation projects for my own home. The whole experience has been fabulous! His work crews are efficient and professional, arrive on time and leave no mess behind. We did engineered hardwood and bathroom work, and his tile team were simply awesome. I have renovated two other homes in the past, and built one from scratch. As a 15 year realtor, I see lots and lots of DIY work. I can honestly say this has been the best experience I’ve ever had, and I am actually moving forward on two more bathroom renovations in the new year with Mike. If I ever decide to build a home again, Mike is the one I will have do it. In addition to quality work and materials, he provides the additional value of peace of mind, which I appreciate so very much. Without hesitation, I would recommend him to friends and family, and have already recommended him to my own clients.

This was impressive in a time of unprecedented supply shortages; once, one of his plumbers drove from Calgary to Lethbridge and back to get an important component. We hired Mike to totally remodel two bathrooms and our utility/laundry room, and when issues happened after we had moved back in, he kept following up with us until we were completely satisfied. One of our favourite things about Mike was that when he found pre-existing problems in our house, he'd address them cheaply, or discuss our options if that wasn't possible. He was generous with his time when helping us make decisions.

> Mike from Siena and I worked together very well from the start of my basement renovation.  I wanted something unique with my personality in it.  He was able to guide me through what I could and couldn't do as we put the vision together.  As the process went along, I was kept regularly updated, and flexibility was always present.  Near the end, I decided I wanted a last minute brick feature wall, and he was very supportive and made it happen. The end results were masterful and I enjoy it so much.  The workmanship provided was of great quality.  When some minor flaws were discovered, they were immediately (next day) rectified.  An added touch was getting a few extra out of scope items done in other areas of my house as the basement was developed, such as a hardwood refinishing.  Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, right on budget, and I would recommend Mike and Siena going forward.

We drove to the tile store, we drove to the lighting store, we drove to the bathroom store and we went back 2 or 3 times. When I was there in February, Dad was using a pipe wrench to open and close the taps in his bathroom upstairs, all the time cursing the last plumber who charged him $300 and still didn't fix it. When Dad went into the hospital shortly after my visit, I made a decision to try and get the plumbing fixed in the upstairs bathroom and also see what it would cost to replace the shower in the downstairs bathroom. The thought being that if Dad ever needed in-home care long term, that a caregiver would have their own bathroom and shower. When I talked to my son about it, he told me about the guy who he contracted with when he built his most recent house. He got ahold of Mike and had him over there within a week to do a walk through and provide some insight into what these two jobs might entail. What impressed me a lot was the fact that Mike took into account the practical aspects of embarking on renovation projects in a house that would probably be torn down within the next five years. His quote came in a lot lower than I thought, but most of all I liked the way he presented what needed to be done, and did not try to push anything fancy or impractical. I knew that the company was used to doing big construction projects and that my dad's house could be considered less important. But at no time did I get that impression at all and both projects were completed in time for my dad to get home from the hospital with a functioning set of taps. You have to realize the scope of the project in a house that old, to understand how impressed I was with the final work as well as what it cost, it came in less than the original estimate. Mike even tried to clean the very stained bathtub that was probably the original one. Bless his heart, I have tried that myself to no avail.

This was was a slate grey color with contrasting light color grout.

A: Thank you for the inquiry regarding the backlighting. These cabinets were actually custom built to allow a void space for an LED ribbon light to be installed behind the glass. We love how it turned out and, our clients were extremely happy also.
