Vanessa developed "Staging and creative home interiors", SACHI, in 2008. Bringing design services to residences and businesses in Ottawa Canada. Vanessa is a designer with a personal mission to create visually appealing, dynamic, creative and personalized spaces for her clients. With a fine arts degree from Concordia University and numerous projects under her belt, Vanessa has the background and innate eye to transform a space into something welcoming. Initial consultations are $150 per hour. For detailed design plans with concept drawings and budget breakdowns and/or CAD drawings for permits with a technician stamp, $75 per hour. After an initial consult and detailed plans are drawn up, "Sachi", can also get it all done for you. Including purchases and delivery, and managing the interior decor/renovation process. This part is $75 per hour, factor about 10%-15% of the entire project.

In addition to having a terrific innate sense of light, space, colour, texture and style, she works very hard to understand her clients budget, tastes, needs and sense of what makes a home. She then works with you to create a warm, beautiful environment in which to live. Vanessa helped us stage our house for sale recommending and then implementing relatively small subtle changes (neutral paint for some rooms, painting of kitchen cupboards, updated fixtures and door handles) that made a huge difference to the overall appearance and  appeal of that house. Doubtless one of the reasons that it sold very quickly. She then helped us decorate our new home,which required a complete makeover. She worked tirelessly to develop the framework for a classic yet unique look that reflected our tastes. Guiding us in the choice of paint colours, furniture coverings, window treatments and in the acquisition of new furniture. She worked with tradespeople to design built-in bookshelves in the living room and cupboard doors in the master bedroom that instantly elevated the look and feel of our home. It is an older home and yet these additions look as if they were part of the original design.  Vanessa works incredibly hard, giving her full attention to every detail, to deliver a beautiful home (within budget). Her painstaking work is remarkable, as if it were her own home. Yet she never forgets that the house should reflect your needs and taste. I think one of the biggest compliments paid her is the number of people who have remarked that the style of our house is such a complete reflection of my personal style.
