**Q: I like the dark cable rail; is it painted, anodized, reflecting, etc.?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm looking for a cable rail in a color other than natural stainless steel.

A: It's blackened steel - hot or cold-rolled steel that has been oxidized with a tool blackener.  It maintains the raw metal feel and, in my opinion, character and soul of the material.  Painting / powder-coating / anodizing kind of kill the beauty of steel.

Where did you find the pendant lights?

A: They were from Pottery Barn.

A: The ceilings are 9 feet.

A: 2500sf, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms.

Hi, we just installed character grade white oak floors as these.  We plan on using bona natural for the finish.
We have two dogs and a 5yr old so wondered if you have any  thoughts/suggestions on wear and tear/durability?

A: This was just a weekend house with no kids or dogs, so I'm not sure if it's a fair comparison, but I believe we used Bona as well and it was great.  No complaints.
