> I have known Peg for a long time, and was so excited to get an opportunity to work with her on a mid century remodel.
> Her knowledge and eye for design is fantastic. Peg took the time to find out what our needs and wants were all the while keeping our budget in mind. She helped us figure out what to keep and what to update and I couldn’t be happier with the final result. She was very responsive throughout the project, and kept me from exceeding my budget when needed! I highly recommend Peg Cox Design!

**Comment from Peg Cox Design:**

> Thank you Lois! It was certainly my pleasure to work with you and Gary. I am so excited about your new home and your return to Snohomish. I enjoyed helping you bing your vision to life.

> We hired Peg Cox to design a new kitchen for us. We had no idea what could be done with our 1925 home that was remodeled in the 80’s by the previous owners. Peg scheduled an appointment with my husband and myself. She spent the time to learn about our lifestyles and how we currently use our kitchen. We trusted that Peg would design our kitchen to fit us and she did. During the construction process she was available when we needed her help. We decided to update the entire main floor of our home which included a family room, living room, spare bedroom and main bathroom. We also replace three exterior doors. Peg took the 1980’s remodel and changed it to fit the style of the original 1925 home. We couldn’t be happier with it. Next on the list is our upstairs master suite. We highly recommend Peg of Peg Cox Designs.

**Comment from Peg Cox Design:**

> Thanks for the review Janice and Steve! It was (and still is) a pleasure to work with you.

> Peg assisted us with choosing new countertops and backsplash for our kitchen. My husband and I had visited every granite/marble warehouse in the region multiple times, over multiple years, but couldn't decide on the right countertops. Bad visualizers! Fortunately, Peg is very good at visualizing and after evaluating our style and needs, she found the perfect products. Peg is decisive but easy to work with, patient and includes her client's input and interests in the decision-making process.

> After I purchased my small 1908 home, I realized I needed help designing the interior space.. Peg approached the project by focusing on what I wanted and what I thought was important. Then she took that information and created designs that provided me with different options. Now I have visual, drawn to scale layouts to use for planning my space when I'm ready.
> I really appreciated knowing before we began, emails with detailed descriptions and cost of each step of the project.
> Besides being knowledgable and imaginative, Peg relieved lots of the frustration that comes with having ideas of what I wanted but not able to put them into a practical concept by myself.

> I have enjoyed working with Peg Cox over the past 15 years. She is easy to talk to, listens closely to your ideas and then helps you filter and find what is going to work for you. She has helped me pick wall and house paint colors as well as furniture, rugs and carpet. She is currently helping us remodel our kitchen while considering our budget, likes and dislikes. Peg helps turn spaces into beautiful, creative places that you want to live in!

> We strongly recommend Peg Cox Design for homeowners needing design help for a remodel project. Our project is described below:
>
> Desired outcome. The owners, active 84 and 86, live in a 3500 square foot 2 story with full daylight basement Colonial style home built in 1964. Bedrooms and laundry are upstairs. Owners wish to "age in place" thus need to minimize stair climbing. The challenge is to redesign a portion of the main floor living area to create a master bedroom, full master bath, laundry and pantry.
>
> After walking through our remodeling ideas our builder recommended we work with Peg Cox to develop a plan. Peg met with us several times to review our space needs, lifestyle and the available space for remodeling. After reviewing our original house plans Peg developed several workable schemes. We settled on a scheme to convert half of an existing main floor study/office into a full master bath. The other half converted into a pantry and laundry. The existing pantry wall was removed and a new wall added 8 feet further into to the end of the of the garage to create a bedroom with closets. The outcome is a 350 square foot main floor bedroom, master bath, pantry and laundry with full washer and dryer. The new main floor area is immediately adjacent to the kitchen and eating areas.
>
> Peg prepared a complete set of working drawings for the builder and subcontractors. The 5 sheet drawing set included; Demolition Plan, Construction Plan, Electrical Plan, Finish Plan, and Master Bath Wall Plan, She also researched and specified flooring , counter top material and paint colors. Her knowledge of construction challenges created a very workable design easy to follow by the builder and his subcontractors.
>
> We found Peg Cox to be very knowledgeable about construction materials and methods and thus required minimal "as built" changes to the plans. She is easy to work with and has a good spatial sense to visualize the completed furnished rooms.
>
> We are pleased with the remodeled space, the colors and reduced stair climbing. Total cost including bedroom furniture and new washer and dryer was $80,000.

> It is my pleasure to write a review for Peg Cox. Peg has been my consultant for fifteen years.
> The interior and exterior paint colors, fabric choices, selection of granite and the tile for the kitchen, and general placement of my belongings have all proven to be decisions which are lasting and pleasurable.
> Peg respects a client's budget, and does not hesitate to say if making a change to my home is not where my money should be spent. Every project is completely detailed.
> I highly recommend Peg Cox as an amiable, knowledgable, and conscientious consultant for Interior Design or a remodel project.

> I know what I like, but I don't know how to make it happen. Peg has helped our family with a number of projects over the years - from a beautiful indoor courtyard inspired design, to smaller projects in our kitchen and master bedroom (the last in 2013). Peg is a joy to work with. I recommend her without reservation.

> We have used Peg throughout several major remodels to our home over 15 years, a remodel to our cabin and a refresh to rental property. Each project has required different skills--design, construction oversight, selection of finishes, staging, etc. Peg's approach is to fit our spaces to our lifestyle, making room for comfortable alone time or entertaining 30 for dinner, working with a family of five and adjusting our space to better suit empty nesting. As we move into retirement and another home, we will need Peg to get that space perfect for us.

> I loved working with Peg. She was able to quickly sift through all the muddled ideas I had running through my head from years of dreaming of my remodel and propose a design I felt very excited about. She taught me things about design, found well-priced similar materials to the ones I liked that were crazy expensive, and worked with the cabinet maker and general contractor on some specialized requests.
> She made the whole experience exceptional for me...and I'm still enjoying it every day!

> Our c. 1950 rambler has required significant remodeling and updating since we purchased it in 1995. Although we have done several projects over the years, we are most pleased with the last two projects designed by Peg Cox Design.
> She created beautiful, comfortable spaces for us.
> She designed the remodel of our Living and Dining areas about 5 years ago and, more recently, we gutted and added to the Guest and Master Bathrooms on the main floor..
> The design concept and final plans were based on our input and her expertise. She consulted with us on product selection (fixtures, lighting, finish materials, etcetera.) and created the detailed product list and construction drawings used by the contractors. She also designed the cabinets. She was very thorough and the remodel proceeded smoothly. The final product reflects our tastes and the way we live beautifully.

**★★★★★ — Amy, Jan. 2016**

> We worked with Peg last year when we bought a 1960’s split level that was in desperate need of TLC. Peg started out by interviewing us to help clarify our lifestyle and design preferences. She provided as-built and construction drawings for the builder, and helped select finishes (tile, counters, carpet, cabinets, trim and paint). She worked closely with the builder to design minor interior structural changes that had major design impact.
>
> She was respectful of our time and budget. She already had a great working relationship with our builder and cabinet maker, which kept the project flowing smoothly. She is professional and organized. She will provide as much or as little guidance as you want. She came up with several creative, budget-friendly design ideas that really made our home special.
>
> Peg helped us transform a time-worn, drab fixer-upper into a fresh, modern, light-filled and comfortable home. We would definitely work with her again, and would recommend her to friends and family.
